I think the Drexel cancelation could actually benefit this team as they now have time to focus on one of their tougher road games this season against the 2nd highest ranked team in the conference. Despite the loss to sub 300 W&M, Hofstra is still a top 100 ranked team. Their road game against Elon will be on CBS Sports Network Friday at noon

Hopefully the team we saw tonight continues is up for an angry Hofstra team

Yes, the cancellation could work in our favor. Hopefully Harvey will be available soon, if not for the upcoming road swing.

Hofstra-W&M was a weird, ugly game. The Tribe won despite committing 22 turnovers, thanks to HU’s dreadful shooting - .302 from the field, .176 (6-34) from 3.

Not sure how much we can take from that, given how well the Pride played during their non-conference slate.

Also, W&M beat NU today, 71-70.

Just goes to show that shooting that many threes can either make or break a team. If they shoot 30% from three they win the game. Reading the Tribe boards it sounded like Hofstra didn't even try to get to the basket on the drive. Unfortunately for UNCW, they will probably learn from their mistakes when we play them next week. And i'm sure NU and Hofstra don't want to go 0-2 to start the year against the two teams picked last in the CAA. I expect a dog fight in both games. 1-1 on the road trip would be a win for UNCW.

I’ll just add that it appears that this team can compete with any CAA team.

True. Should they continue to play as they did against delaware, they are very capable winning against anyone in the league.

I say Hofstra better win this year because their team is full of graduates. Hawks should be able to compete and hopefully at least make it interesting in this road tilt.

I just gave the tip to my buddy, i'm pretty sure he will take us. I golf with him this weekend, and he was pissed at me this weekend because i told him to stay away from the Tribe game.

I would like to think we can compete within 8 points but they can really score. Estrada is a beast. Not sure why Ray is coming off the bench but he can really shoot that pill too.

I just hope that they can play ball this time without all the other stuff. Nobody likes that. The fans or players on either side. Refs did a bad job that night imho.
