Gotta be honest with you...after those 2 straight 3-and-outs, we didn't have a shot. You can't do that against Bama and hope to win
This is the big issue. Couldn't even give the d a rest for 2 minutes

Tressel needs to put another man in the box. Make them beat us with the pass. Their QB has already shown he doesn't like pressure.

Yup. Bama’s D is good, but we should be able to move the ball a bit. This is all on Des and Denbrock. You knew what Alabama had in the trenches and you didn’t plan appropriately

Maybe now that Alabama knows they only need to rush 4 to sack Ridder we might be able to get a few yards on those patented inside traps Denbrock loves
Is Ridder misreading the RPO or are they purposely not running him so he doesn’t get knocked out of the game???
It’s the National semifinals, we need to lay it all on the line.
By my count, we've only run 4 RPO plays, and he made the correct read on three (one was the batted down slant to Pierce, one was the roll out pass to MY that got us 15 or so, and one was the 5 yard out to Pierce on the last drive). The problem is Bama's analyst regiment is very good at what they do and realized that if they could stick our WRs at the line they'd be able to get to Ridder at best, or get hands up and bat everything down if not because most of his throws are in the 2md and 3rd passing lane (guard/tackle and outside of tackle's shoulder), right where they'd have rushers located. Ridder looks completely lost, but most of that is because his primary read is getting knocked at the line and his pocket is non-existent.

We can’t stop the run. There to big and strong. Bama will and should continue to run.

That ******* sucks
He was with me at WVU twice and he said this is as bad as that was. I told him this is new and it brought out a lot of first time fans who just want to be d!xks like they are drunk at a Bengals game.
Yeah I actually know of several folks who are in Dallas for the game who have never, to my knowledge, attended a game at Nippert. We all want the bandwagon fans to boost numbers, but with them comes this kind of crap. To your point about Bengals games, it’s why I stopped going to NFL games years ago.
Funny thing is it’s all guys in their 40’s and 50’s being drunk jerks. These are high end seats obtained from a friend and summertime neighbor up here who has a box to everything at Jerrah World. He got them as a 25th BDay present for my kid. Unfortunately it happens in all fanbases.

The fact that we moved the ball incredibly well in 12 personnel then went completely away from it basically tells the story of Denbrock to me. Constantly shades away from things that work situationally to try to run "his" overarching offense.

A fade in the endzone to young on third? That's what we came up with?

I thought that was a good drive...ball outside quickly, couple of designed QB runs, got Ford the ball...Ridder just decided to throw a ball out of the back of the endzone instead of trying to do anything to gain yards on that 3rd and 5.

WTF was that Denbrock??? March down the field, then throw a strange dump pass to Ford on 1st down. Run up the middle on 2nd down. Then deep pass to the endzone on 3rd and 5?????

So, so, so stupid! You need 5 yards to convert and keep driving. Why throw a 25 yard pass into the end zone?

The dump pass got 5 yards on 1st down, the run was to try to set up a 3 yard to go situation where they could run or pass and potentially go on 4th...that 3rd down was on Ridder, he bailed on the play.
I domt love Denbrock, but you're fishing for trout in a toilet on that one bud.

This is the drive. Keep them off the board and you can keep it competitive. Bama gets a TD and it’s a goner

That dump pass was strange developing and to the short side of the field.
