Dude... Winning the MAC East is not something we've done very much. Maybe we get to at least 3 MAC east titles before calling it a lame accomplishment?

Kent State could win the National Championship 49-0 against OSU and people on here would complain still, not just on this message board, but others. Find something to appreciate, it will make your life and others better

Sounds like your complaining!!! Only kidding. Have you every watched ESPN. This is nothing.

Well played! You are right, I am complaining about all the complaining on here 03-wink

Here's the list from the KSU website. It's not complete. An all-state punter/kicker from Ohio tweeted his commitment yesterday; he's not on the list. It looks as if they have a half dozen spots open, which is a good idea given the transfer portal. Lots of big linemen.

One is Nolan Rumler, a Hoban grad from Kent who has been at Michigan for two years. He's 6-3 315.

Another that caught my eye was Stephen Daley, a 6-2, 240-pound all-state defensive lineman from Virginia who runs a 10.6 100-yard dash. He also played tight end and running back.

Yup, play the cards you are dealt. Don't worry about the number of stars. Stars are for dreamers.

This Kargman kid seems like an impressive get. Not the type of HS QB we normally land. I know recruit rankings mean very very little, but 247 ranks him as our second highest recruit ever. It will be interesting to see how the backup QB competition shakes out next year. I don't know a ton about any of our QBs not named Schlee.

The part of the video where he's putting kickoffs out of the endzone caught my attention. The Hoban Kicker/Punter seems legit too. Kohl's kicker camp has him as the #18 punter.

I read he had 12 touchbacks in 2020 in 6 games (COVID year). I could only assume he added more leg this year.

It would be a real help to the Defense to start at 25 and not the 35. This past year was like the opposite of 2012 when opponents did a pooch kick to avoid Archer.

RE: 2022 Football Recruiting
I see Buffalos QB entered the portal, got offers from Wyoming and WMU but settled on Georgia State. I’m guessing we didn’t officially offer him despite being a proven started in this conference and from Stow. With that, I guess kudos to coach Lewis to have the faith in Schlee to step up and lead this squad going forward.

Schlee was ready to take over this year if anything would’ve happened to Dustin. Nothing at all against Crum but Schlee will be an upgrade at QB. And he will be here as long as Coach Lewis is here.

I would take Schlee of Vantrease every day out of any day. Never thrown for 2k in a season. Never thrown more than 8 tds in a season. In his 1 and 1/3rd seasons of being a backup Schlee has more career rushing yards than Vantrease has in 5 years. If Vantrease wanted to come home I'm sure he'd make a fine backup for us.

RE: 2022 Football Recruiting
Heard today that Charley Batch (works for a big time financial firm) offered the Oklahoma QB currently in the transfer portal $1,000,000 to play one year at EMU. This is going to get really weird.

Posted that in the “Going Pro” thread a few days ago.

RE: 2022 Football Recruiting
Great addition to the squad coming from Kentucky, a former 4-star recruit with offers from pretty much everyone coming out of HS, DB with 3 years of eligibility.

Welcome Jojo Evans, Jr to the recruiting class. Evans is will be transferring from Marshall following his Redshirt Freshman season. We had offered him in high school along with Kansas, Buffalo and Marshall.

Massillon WR/DB/PR Austin Brawley will join the team as a preferred walk-on. Good all around athlete with a 40 inch vertical. As far as I know he had no FBS offers.
