We get to see NIU again. I wish I could say I'm optimistic about this. Maybe I should be and I'm just pessimistic after watching the Browns. We need the defense to show up at some point. NIU's defense won't out-implode ours late in the game like Miami did.

RE: Detroit
If we win the best we can do is the one bowl not televised? Seems like a terrible deal.

Yo Debbie Downers, we open as 2 point favorites for what it’s worth. We have an excellent chance to win in a shootout. And which bowl isn’t televised?

I have a hard time believing there is a bowl game that isn't televised. I can't find one.

The Arizona Bowl is on barstool so that one's not televised but is streamed.

I heard about that, how on Earth can you have a bowl game that isn't televised? Ridiculous. That isn't a bowl game. Find it hard to believe that teams would even agree to play there.

RE: Detroit
The MAC has 8 teams bowl eligible. I would assume that even if KSU were to lose, they would get the 2nd best bowl that the MAC is affiliated with. I can't make much sense of this article. It looks like the MAC has 8 slots, too, but I have no idea who will go where and based upon what.

The Arizona Bowl is played in Tucson and by the time the game is played it should be in the low to mid 70s. I think the students would be happy to leave the gloomy cold great lakes region for warm sunny weather.

RE: Detroit
I would think that the MAC championship game would get a bigger crowd if it were played at one of the two schools, probably the team with the best record.

Let's just all be happy we're playing for a conference championship in a sport that has brought so much anguish to us for so long. As for the bowl, let the chips fall where they may. What an experience for some of these guys to play in 2 bowl games in their college careers.

Tucson is a great city and teams/fans will have a great time there but it will be a bit colder than that. I've lived in Tucson and winters are colder than you might imagine. I'm actually headed there for a little vacation in mid-January. More likely mid 60's for highs, upper 40's for lows. All better than the Midwest, to be sure. Not sure what the game time is, but after sunset it gets pretty chilly.

Looks like this year its New Year's Eve with a noon local kickoff time for the Arizona Bowl. Selfishly this is my preferred bowl now that the Bahamas bowl is off the list. It's a short drive down from Phoenix so it would make my life easier.

Sorry to be another downer, but the game time is trash. Noon kickoff. Looks like another empty MAC noon game. What happened to Friday night?

RE: Detroit
Fans complained about not being able to attend Friday night because of work. Plus what luckyflash said. This year there are cusa and pac 12 are playing Friday night. Versus just the big 12 at the noon kickoff. I'd rather go up against one instead of two.

I'd be happy to watch Kent St in the MAC Championship at 1am on Christmas morning.

The last 3 games we've had were at noon and the home opener. I'm a little too old for kegs-&-eggs at a tailgate.
