What he thought of the playoff committee
Recent Top 4 that included Cincinatti at number
4 and he said.

Cincinatti is not power 5
So they should not be there.

He said the committee should put
out the top 4 that includes just P5 schools

And then another top 4 of just G5 schools

If you don’t know/understand that there’s a very definite separation between the P5 and the G5, then you my friend are living in de Nile. . . . same Divison be damned.

And neither the NCAA nor ESPN will change that narrative . . .

This is the guy that left Marshall Faulk off his Heisman ballot, and there was a correct answer of who to give the Heisman that year.

I think you'd find the majority here do not like Corso or agree with him.

Corso might be very knowledgeable. He's also wrong. And antiquated in his reasoning

Corso says out loud what the playoff committee thinks. I don’t agree with it, but that is true.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that someone with his experience and platform says this stuff, but a lot of folks feel like he does. Change is probably going to have to happen in the face of people holding these views...and continuing on for however many years it takes to get that first G5 victory in the playoff.

Corso is a old man that’s lost some marbles. I’m more amazed people waste hours of their Saturday morning on a pre game show.

I actually liked Corso when he had his faculties. Been lots of times I haven't agreed with him but he was entertaining. That said, he should have hung it up 3 years ago. He's just rambling now.

For a man in his 90’s he still is somewhat sharpe, but as far as his contribution to the show, he is basically a prop, who rarely says anything that makes you think. As far as Cincinnati, he has his antiquated option, he is wrong, but he is living 50 yrs in the past, so it is what it is.

Notice how many times those god level P5 teams have had reality checks by the mortals of the G5 this year.

The top ten G5 teams could run with the bulk of the P5 schools any day of the week. And they know it. Which is why they are so protective of their place at the table.

A tool is something one uses for a purpose. ESPN would like to have P5 teams in the playoffs. So by definition is he a tool.

He is also entertaining and does know a lot about football.

Flaming idiot, like 99% of the talking ESPN heads.

What idiocy is it that some are wanting ND in the playoffs over Cincy.

There isn't a massive division on the field of play. There may be a division among the Top 5 or 6 programs but that's the case in both G5 and P5. The Top 10 G5 programs are in reality the Top 30 to 40 FBS schools, which is a decent percentage.

Cincinnati also showed that they deserve the playoff spot, G5 or not. UCF beat Auburn a few years ago and Auburn had beaten both UGA and Alabama. Cincinnati beat the number 6 team and took a UGA team very similar to this year's squad down to the wire to close last season.
