Just read this story on Brandon Ford. A guy who played TE at Clemson and is tied for the most TDs by a TE in school history. Thanks to one social media comment, Clemson got him over South Carolina. The school he grew up being a fan of. He had all intentions of playing for the Gamecocks, until.....

To be honest, I was actually a USC guy and at first I wanted to go to USC," Ford said. "Growing up I was all garnet and black but due to some unfriendly like comments, I think it was Steve Spurrier Jr., or one of the two made the comment going into my senior year, they didn't think I could play or that I wasn't good enough."

"Then, sure enough, I finished third in the nation in receiving yards. By that time Clemson had already done their homework and I came up there for a 7-on-7 and kind of showcased my talents, got offered on the spot, and committed shortly after that. I kind of was Clemson from that day forward."

Can we all agree that a coach, or son of a coach at a school that is RECRUITING a player and making a negative remark is different than fans on a message board? C'mon.

That is a great "golden rule" of message boards if you ask me. No one likes to be talked down on even through discussion boards. I just don't see what all the negativity, player and coach bashing accomploshes but to each his own..Just treat me with respect and I will certainly do likewise!

Back to a team discussion, our defense sucks too. We rank 305 out of 358 D1 teams in defensive efficiency per KenPom. Not good. Our offense and defense is McGrath level considering we have played a very soft schedule.

This is a big test for Siddle on how we improve the rest of the season. If it’s status quo or worse then I will be very concerned. If we trend in a positive direction there will be hope. It’s a long season. We have all seen this before.

Haha hard to keep track from all this bickering. I don’t think this tiny world of a UNCW sports message board is a factor for incoming recruits. At an ACC, SEC, etc maybe with more traffic. You would have to really dig in google to find any relevant thread here. This is just ridiculous. I understand Bill and 33’s point but it just doesn’t apply to a mid major like us at this point.
