Bowl Projections

Cincinnati vs Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.
UCF vs Central Michigan in the Boca Raton Bowl.
Memphis Vs Fresno State in the Frisco Bowl.
East Carolina vs UAB in the Gasparilla Bowl
SMU vs Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl.
Houston vs Air Force in the Military Bowl.
Tulsa vs Boston College in the Fenway Bowl.

Only one P5 bowl outside of playoffs. Ouch.... although I do not think these projections are that accurate.

Where's Rice? Oh, yeah...nevermind.

What's the order on bowl picks or is there really even one? I don't even know what the best bowl game out of this bunch is. Rumor has it the Military Bowl wants ECU bad, which makes sense to me I think it's a safe assumption ECU would sell more tickets for that game than any AAC team not named Navy.

All of the projections are guesses at this point.

I’ve seen ECU projected in the Fenway vs Boston College, Cure or Myrtle Beach vs. Coastal, Hawaii vs Utah State, Military vs Louisville, and now this one. Who knows where we end up?

And Houston gets stuck with a G5 match-up? UH is clearly at worst 2nd best in conference this year. The Coogs should get the P5 match-up, or give us UTSA! :-)

For a G5 matchup, at least Air Force is pretty solid. But, yeah, the AAC bowl tie-ins basically stink.

The military bowl is cool the first time since Annapolis is an interesting town. After that you realize your team is ranked and is stuck playing a 6-6 ACC team or some other choo-choo with square wheels.

Don’t we have a tie in to the Birmingham Bowl with the SEC? The bowl seems to think so.

I want driving distance from me (Louisiana)... but if it is in Annapolis, Boston, Florida, etc, I'll just catch it on TV.

I think I'm up for Birmingham, Mobile, Houston, Shreveport, NOLA (if they drop the vaccine requirement) etc.

We should have 3 contract bowls with P5 vs AAC.

Birmingham Bowl SEC vs AAC
Military Bowl ACC vs AAC
Fenway Bowl ACC vs AAC

ACC has 9 bowl eligible teams right now, so we should see them fulfill the Military and Fenway agreements.
SEC has 11 bowl eligible teams right now, so they should fulfill the Birmingham Bowl agreement.

All the rumors I’ve seen have ECU in the Military bowl, the military bowl reps have been at ECUs most recent games

ANY bowl at this point would be wonderful. It has been FAR too long for ECU. With our history, we should be in a bowl game 8 or so times a decade.

It’s a good bowl location. Get into town early and enjoy Old Annapolis. It will likely be against an ACC team that is about 6-6 - perhaps you’ll get a rematch with South Carolina.

I agree. Annapolis is great! I have heard Virginia tossed around as a potential opponent with ECU in the Military Bowl.

Yeah love Annapolis. It's boaty like Wilmington. Agree we'd probably end up with a middling ACC team like Louisville, Miami, or Virginia.
