Lol...I wasn't being funny...

Womens Tennis is a better game to watch. Men is so much about serving...At least you get some volleys in womens tennis.

College basketball is not even close for me. I love the men's game, but not the women's. I do like to watch women's softball more than I like college baseball, though. Totally different game, I think. The only other sport I enjoy watching equally with the men is the LPGA. Those ladies can't crush the ball like the guys so there's a premium on shot-making. Oh. And Lexi Thompson is a factor, as well. 04-rock

They can't putt either.

Historically they have been much worse putters than their male counterparts. I've never understood it, because putting has nothing to do with strength. But you watch them and they miss way more than the men.

Just looked up the stats for confirmation. This year the LPGA putting leader averaged 28.71 putts per round. The total PGA average (all players) is 28.88. The PGA leader is 25.75.

You can't go by that. That has a lot to do with accurate iron play. I have always found that women putt as well as men. But if you want to quantify those kind of stats, you have to start from how close is the average birdie putt for the women vs. men, .... or the first put, regardless of shot count. Men, I would bet, have more accurate approach shots, and therefore start closer to the cup on their first attempted putt.

Why do you assume men have more accurate approach shots?
Both PGA and LPGA greens in regulation leaders hit 79%, and the average is around 68%.
So they're hitting the same # of greens.
But putts per GIR is 1.76 for men and 1.82 for ladies
I agree that average putt distance would help, but I can't find that for LPGA.
Average putts per round tells the story.

Because I watch a lot of golf. I've watched a lot of PGA in the last 40 years. I've gone through spirts of watching some LPGA, and the difference in approach shot accuracy is noticeable. So the fact that the number of putts per round is comparable between men and women speaks to the putting ability of the ladies.

So I do wonder how many people who voted yes can name a single women's player at UM, or have ever been to a single women's game. Because at this point I think we have more yes votes than the ladies have butts in seats at games.

Cheerleading is what got my son into Memphis on a full ride scholly. Girls is what put him out. So many girls, so little time. I told my ex he was too young and needed to go to work for a year.

Anyone who doesn't think that athleticism is required in cheer hasn't really watched it that much. But I tend to agree, it's not really a sport even though it can be a competition.

Someone once said, if there is no defense, then it ain't a sport.
Or something like that.
But I think golf is a sport.
My dividing line is more along the lines of, is there a clear winner/loser, or is there a judge involved.
Of course this rules out cheer.
And gymnastics.
I'm okay with this.
In fact, if you count gymnastics a sport, you pretty much have to count cheer.

Drives are different (strength).
Approach is similar.
