Like most years, we don't get many opportunities to get big quality wins, so if we drop it the noise will be the Tigers are "all hype." On the other hand, winning the game will make a big statement.

Well when you reference a team from 3 years ago and compare them with their current team it brings into question your ability to discern the difference.

I don’t think Va Tech will be considered a statement win for Memphis in all honesty Memphis should win easily I think the only reason they are favored is because of the Tigers turnover problems.

VATech is getting votes for the top 25, it's a neutral court, and they are a VERY experienced team. it may not be a signature win (if we win) but should be quad 1, and will go a long way in seeding, and will help legitimize the #9 ranking

Winning this game also adds one more Quad 1 opportunity most likely in Xavier. Iowa State would likely be a Quad 3 by the time the season is over

I use action as well as several other sites. It’s interesting that action - a relative newcomer (but very interesting app/site) has an early line. Other sharp sites I trust have no line yet.

In either case the tigers are indeed favored on a neutral court much to the chagrin of some of our resident penny haters.

Yes, but we have a small group of especially negative but creative posters.

To anyone who is ass hurt over me saying I had “heard” early rumors the line may have us under dog, it was not meant to push a false narrative. It was merely me wanting to talk about Vegas’s perception of our team and how much they believe in our ranking. Hell I wish we were underdog so our tigers could have that much more reason to be pissed off. 1.5 is very close to being an underdog so hopefully they come out with their nuts screwed on tight!

It's called line speculation. I never claimed I knew a real oddsmaker or companies that set lines in Vegas (where the hell ya come with that beats me???). Anyone that has been around the game follows the tigers can usually take an educated guess at what the lines on our games will be within probably 3-4 points. The rumors or speculation of the line for this game I heard was just from friends and fellow tiger fans, so I came hear to see what fans here think the line may be. I didn't know it would upset you and start calling me a liar....obviously it did and your ass hurt. Go Tigers!
