RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
NU heads to the Virgin Islands to play in the Paradise Jam tourney, where they face Duquesne today at 5:45. The tournament can be seen on ESPN 3.

Duquesne lost to Hofstra at home last weekend, but they'll still be a tough team for NU to beat.

I hope NU can get at least one win this weekend. If they win today they face the winner between Southern Illinois and Colorado.

Did I just see Walters with a fast break bucket??? Up 10-0 early. Maybe run a little more.

Up 31-21 at half. We've turned it over 11 times i think already. We are finding open shots at least when we don't turn it over.

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
The good: Spacing and ball movement has been much better. Defense has been pretty good also

The bad: We simply cannot stop turning the ball over

The ugly: We have to be one of the most injured teams over recent years. Now McClintock is out (ankle)

16 point win! Lot of turnovers but found the open man much easier than other games. This looked like a coen offense today.

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
Nice to get a W as you never want to go to these tourneys and not get at least one. Wins can also build confidence even if there are mistakes that need correcting.

We were massacred on the offensie boards 17-3 (41-20 in 4 games) and turned it over 19 times (64 in 4 games) yet managed to win by 16 with good shooting, decent defense and a pretty disorganized opponent.

Hope Chris is OK. He hurt his left wrist late. We now play Colorado or S Illinois Sunday at 8. Last one will be Monday at 545 (if 3rd place game) or 8 (if championship).

Hats off to Vito! Great job filling in for a guy who has played so few minutes in the past.

I thought Djogo looked solid again. He's beginning to look like a really good pickup.

It's nice to build a lead and hold on to it.

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
One half down at St Thomas and Huskies down 21-20. Tough first half and a rock fight has broken out. Something has got to give in the 2nd half. Still struggling with offensive rebounds (given up 4) and protecting the ball (9 turnovers). Both teams struggling finding an offensive flow though SIU seems to have found some momentum at the end of the half

If you had McClintock and Stucke on tonight’s injury-bingo card, you are a winner

Huskies win 59-47! Really strong 2nd half on both ends and great poise as well. By far the best half of the year. Doherty, Djogo, and Shaq were tremendous tonight

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
16 turnovers, so only 7 in the 2nd half and I swear 4 of them were in the first 4 minutes. So good execution down the stretch. Shaq did a good job running point for much of the night, though SIU isn't a pressuring team. Vito has done a great job with his minutes in this tourney also...very good for him.

Shaq with 20 and 9 boards. Djogo with 11. Chris with 14 and 13 boards

#22 CSU in the finals tomorrow at 8PM!

Again.....strong finish. That is great for their confidence. If Telfort gets untracked and we get our three injured guys back we will be okay.

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
Another solid win. The TO's are a bugaboo, but the defense and the offensive precision are still excellent thus far.

We can win a lot of games with the quartet of Walters, Doherty, Djogo and Telfort.

I have seen on NU's Instagram page that To and TSG have been on the floor during practice with the team. Especially To, who I hear is close to coming back.

It's been impressive that we keep losing players (McClintock and Stucke) but it's the next man up.

If we could win this thing over Colorado State it would do so much for their confidence, it actually kind of has already.

Coen postgame...

RE: 2021 Paradise Jam
On a per possession basis we are worst in the CAA in turnovers. Though JMU is basically matching us and W&M is only slightly better. UNCW, Towson, and CoC seem to handle the ball well out of the CAA thus far.
