WOW Stat
Just read that we have had 40 guys miss a game this year due to injury.

That is almost 1/3 of our team.

That is a lot… tough to be consistent with that…. I guess that means we got several guys valuable experience for next year

RE: WOW Stat
That is a lot...But we have been slow on defense every game...

And our OLine needs to improve...Someone needs to get these OLineman to start improving in the offseason...You can build an offensive line...If you have a bunch that is willing to work.

RE: WOW Stat
How does this compare to other years and other teams?
What are the reasons?
Sounds like an excuse to me.
The season-long excuse has been "playing a frosh qb".
But now people are realizing - qb is NOT the problem.
So the excuse changes.
I still pull for CRS because he's my team's HC.
But I'm starting to lose faith, and the excuses wear thin.

The first thing I noticed when I got to my seats Saturday was that Mashburn and Cartwright were in sweats on the sideline. I was thinking man how many starters have missed games this year.Neither had boots or braces on so hopefully both will be back this year. Of course everyone is day to day according to coach.

Here's another stat: 7/10 games have been decided by 6 points or less resulting in 3 wins and 4 losses.

Isaac Ellis was out on the OL as well. W/ Austin Myers out for the season, that put two backups in those positions. That's a tough learning curve but hopefully helps with next year.

It's an excuse... No one would mention this if the team is actually good.

We had a lot of players out in 2019 as well. Not sure if we had 40 but we had key injuries. Patrick Taylor, Landres Thomas and TJ Carter all were out at one time or the other. Pop Williams was our punt returner and was out for the year. I guess we had more depth back then.

COVID opt outs and new transfer rules. No longer an incentive to stick around when you can leave and play immediately

Yep. No excuses next year.

Until the transfer portal takes its toll...

The ones that leave looking for greener pasture which means we can get replacements. Works both ways

Well the QB got hurt before the first snap and the other two big transfers must not be very good because our offensive line is the worst part of our team next to kicker. I think Asa Martin was last year but he hardly gets to play even with Thomas and Clark both missing a lot of time. So id say they weren’t as good.

Looks like a wash. I don't see the guys who left tearing it up. Same results they did for us. We have a shot post season bowl. They dont

Well at least they didn’t make a “lateral move” right ? Can’t have it both ways.

QB ended up not hurting us.

OL hurt

kicker transfer worked out well. Doyle was signed as a punter and is averaging 46/punt. Problem is our freshman kicker got stage fright after his injury.

As previously said I think it's a wash.
