I’ve always wondered the same thing, pretty obvious..

Ironically, Finch couldnt sign an elite PG to play alongside Penny after Madlock graduated.

Yeah, it is really hard to understand. Dandridge over Minott. ALo having a terrible game playing over Timberlake who is having his best game.

This ^! I am tired of having a senior pg who can’t shoot and turns the ball over making poor decisions. I’m concerned he comes back next year too. I get favoring your kids but it’s demoralizing watching Lomax play

Now Dandruis worse. Terrible effort. Gets stuffed by kindergarten kids and may be the laziest player I’ve ever seen at the D1 level. And those are facts

I’m tired of seeing no Minott in the second half as the kid busts his butt, is coachable and has an extremely high ceiling.

Alo has highest TO rate per minutes played. Not good for 4th year point. Expect freshman to do this. But not senior.
Lester could help emoni with ball handling. He had low TO rate.

I will never get all the Alo defenders on here. He’s a senior now. He still makes the same mistakes he made as a freshman

I don't get it either. He is not a high major D1 PG, he's just not and never will be. This team season will be limited by Alo's ceiling. It's like having a Ferrari with a Yugo engine.

Transfer portal puts pressure on coach to play these guys. Penny Junior ain’t going nowhere if he doesn’t get playing time. Probably same for Dandridge. Minot will have lots of options if he decides to transfer. His upside is much higher. I would play him more at expense of Junior and Dandridge.

Things feel different in the arena than through the television

Alo had too many turnovers

And was also huge in settling this team that could have lost this game with timely assists and even with the turnovers he was a primary reason we won

Bates had 5 points, 4 boards, and 4 turnovers, 2 assists and no steals and was unsettling and while he is a tremendous player who will be key in whether we make a final four but tonight he played like a freshman and it would have lost us the game absent Alo
Lomax had 5 points, 3 boards and 6 turnovers, 4 assists and 4 steals and a block and was settling as hell

Yes, the 6 turnovers were frustrating, but if that is all you can see when you watch Alo than you have the problem

Yep…it’s ok if he can just play good d,make good decisions and hit ft’s but when he’s bad and turning the ball over it just kills this team…not sure why Penny won’t yank him for a while on nights like tonight.

U can’t have 6 turnovers from your floor general,u just can’t…play like this next week and we’re in for a rude awakening.

Winning is hard

Our team seemed a little flat tonight. It was as if we were going through the motions with less energy than usual.

There was something missing.

At the end of the day we shot about as poorly as we could possibly shoot and WKU shot about as good as they will shoot all year from the 3 point line and we still won by double digits. Pretty any year in the past 7-8 years this would have been a loss.

Penny still has really strange substitution patterns. We started a little slow and then went on that big run, had all the momentum and then boom he starts subbing and WKU immediately gets right back into the game. Timberlake was having his best game of the year and was by far our best PG option tonight and mysteriously sits and never comes back in. I don’t get it

Yeah, our depth and talent gap was enough for tonight…duren was a monster and Timberlake should have played more.

OK, I've seen enough. This team is so over-rated it is sinfull. Stupid passes playing AAU ball. Hot Dog play. Highlight seekers. They got exposed tonight by a real D1 level talent and a coach who has been around the block. And it was not elite level D1 talent. The tigers won on sheer talent, period. Bates had a tough night because tonight was the first time he has had to play against the defense of decent D1 level players. 26 turnovers and 15 assists. Pathetic.

I guess Western Kentucky neglected to read all the press clippings and media stories about this elite Memphis Talent, and decided to show up and play anyway. Yeah, this is a team with a lot of young kids getting used to the college game, but they sure have a long way to go to live up the hype.

True…lomax is gonna have to play for his defense but seems like when he was out of control with his turnovers Penny prob should have sat him for a bit to settle him down…finch was really good at doing that back in the day.
