Thanks for sharing. This vid was talked about recently but no one could find it, as it looked like ltur deleted it, or it just aged out.
Besides the painfully bad choreography/dancing, the excruciating nerd factor and the overall embarrassing production of the video, there is also one other thing that really stands out. Anyone else see it? (Hint: red shirt)

Since we're discussing pronunciation, it's "Hatt-is-burg" not "Hatt-eees-burg". The town founder's wife's name was Hattie. At least she wasn't named Fannie.
RE: I had forgotten how nerdy LaTech is, but then…
I'm sure there's alot of people who cringe at how I pronounce Lafayette, Appalachian, and words of places around here..
But a ton of people have a tough time pronouncing the name of my hometown...
Bogue Chitto.
I won free drinks at Hooters one night in Oregon because the waitress told us she was from Bend and knew country, she knew how to pronounce everything cause she went to Oregon State (that education was really paying off)..
My buddy pulled his license. He was from Houma and she got it right.. I pulled mine out and well she wasn't happy eating the cost of the drinks.. But we tipped her to cover the cost and thensome. Shame poor girl was out hustling like that.

That’s actually controversial even in town. It’s definitely Hattie’s-burg. Hattie Hardy, it’s her burg. What a woman.

LaTech video is more cringe than App’s, largely due to it being way more recent.
App’s video is starting to get a nostalgic feeling like you get watching old episodes of your favorite 90’s sitcom. The song is actually catchy. I’m a fan of bad SyFy monster movies, so this song gives me a similar satisfaction as watching those movies.
And what is Hattiesburg the hub of? Lafayette is the Hub City, the major N-S and E-W interstates (49 and 10) of Louisiana go through Lafayette and before I-49, it was the major N-S and E-W highways (90 and 167).

I believe from what I remember is it's the hub for trains. Several tracks intersect there.
Trains are older than interstates, we win this round

So It gets recycled every year, it’s horrible.
HEY, you have a sense of self-depricating humor!
You are human after all.
Let's keep this going to drop all of the hatred. Come together, work together, not against each other.

Hattiesburg is basically between NOLA, Natchez, Jackson, Meridian, Mobile, and the Gulf Coast, connected by rail lines and major highways (I-59, US-49, US-11, US-98) that all intersect here. It was known as the Hub City way back in the 1910s. There was a large lighted sign on top of a downtown hotel that could be seen from the trains on the various tracks that dated to 1912:

Yes slightly acceptable for the '90s but it was released in 2005. It would be bad for the '80s.

Gotcha. Lafayette never had any train tracks coming through here. We were only founded 50 years ago.

The roads mentioned were used as an example from recent history. We are also the center/hub of one of the last culturally unique areas of US, aka Acadiana. I’m not sure when the Hub City moniker began, but it’s been around my entire life. So you don’t win anything until I can dig up some proof and figure out who was actually first.
