Former Bearcat basketball players in the NCAA
First game stats for all the Bearcats on NCAA rosters this year:

Laquill Hardnett, Buffalo: injured, did not play

Logan Johnson, St. Mary's vs Prairie View A&M: 18 minutes, 8 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds (4 fouls limited his minutes)

Nysier Brooks, Ole Miss vs New Orleans: 23 minutes, 11 points, 4 rebounds

Trevor Moore, Morgan State vs D2 St Mary's (MD): 17 minutes, 9 points, 2 assists (he started but it was a blowout; last year he averaged 25 minutes and 8.5 points/game)

Prince Toyambi, Georgia Southern vs Ball State: 20 minutes, 11 points, 7 rebounds

Vogt, Wisconsin vs St. Francis: 17 minutes, 2 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks

Eason, LSU vs Louisiana-Monroe: 21 minutes, 11 points, 10 rebounds, 4 turnovers

Diarra, Tennessee Tech vs Memphis: 17 minutes, 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist

Zach Harvey, UC-Santa Barbara: injured, did not play

Gabe Madsen, Utah vs Abilene Christian: 7 minutes, 1 foul (no other stats)

Keith Williams, WKU vs Alabama State: Did not play, eligibility concerns

Apparently there are NCAA questions about Williams' eligibility: https://www.bgdailynews.com/sports/wku/w...aca7d.html

I read on twitter that Harvey hurt his knee and will likely miss the season.

I'm a little surprised Logan Johnson hasn't made a bigger impact. I really liked him his first year at UC.

Nysier Brooks nicely working the system for a free college ride all the way to his PHD :). What is this, his 6th or 7th year?

Eason was a huge loss for UC. Of all these guys that one hurts the most by far.

I don't miss his Mother Bear though! Things worked out in the way they should for all parties involved. I don't blame anyone who got out of Dodge and I welcome anyone who stayed/came back because they want to be a Bearcat.

Nsoseme is at Georgia State and is expected to be one of their best players.

He missed their first game with an injury that will likely keep him out for several weeks.

Johnson didn't play much his first year there, but he made a big impact last year (his 2nd year). Last year he was St. Mary's leading scorer per game.

He missed 4 games, but the rest of the season he averaged 32 minutes, 13.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists.

She is still barking at UC on twitter.

I thought she would forget about us now that her son moved on.

I mean, she seems to be cheering for UC on twitter and has no hard feelings toward the university. That's pretty cool with me. Hope Tari is great for LSU.

Do we have more players on other teams than our own team?

I didn’t see Hardnett in the Buffalo game last night. Not sure if he’s still there.

Yeah, Nsoseme is hurt. He was slated to have a big year. Voted preseason as sunbelt best rebounder after winning the award last year.

Hartnett is still at UB but is currently injured.

RE: Former Bearcat basketball players in the NCAA
This is a long way from the old where correct me if I'm wrong, but you only got ONE transfer and you had to sit out a year.

And I remember one guy... was it Brad Sellers??? He transferred within the B1G and their rule was that you had to sit out TWO years, and he did.

Now that Joey Brunk guy is with O$U (after a stop at IU) and he played for Holtman back at Butler. Isnt this like Holtman's 4th or 5th year at O$U???

The guys are the athletics version of John Blutarsky... "seven years of college down the drain."

Time will tell if the new rule is truly beneficial for players. For the most part, I don't think this form of "free agency" is good for major college basketball.

The primary goal of a student/athlete should be educational. I doubt bouncing around is beneficial, except perhaps for graduate transfers.

The free year for everyone last year has a ton of 6th year guys playing. A lot of these guys are 25 year old grown assed men playing against 18 and 19 year olds. Work the system, have some fun and get a free education. Why not?

Things you never thought you'd see: Christ Vogt going 4-4 from the FT line last night.
