Looked like it was an Ankle injury to me. Or lower leg. Got rolled up on.

That is what I saw. I would have thought with that they send you to the locker room to ice it?

He was testing it behind the bench before halftime. Then walking on it in the second half with out a limp so I think they held him out because of being careful with it.

I agree; watching him on the sideline I am optimistic it is nothing serious. Shame it happened later on the drive after he almost broke the reception on the wheel route. Just second guessing but I think he may have scored on that play if he cut to the middle instead on trying to run pass the defender down the sideline. Think that drive after his injury ended with the missed field goal.

Speaking of missed FG. if we made the 34 yarder the collars would not have got so tight. In over time had it happened would you feel confident from the 25 yard line? A 42 yarder, HECK NO!

Except for an end of half or game long field goal; I would only be confident from about 15 yards in (about a 32 yarder or less). Prefer to let the offense take a shot instead of the ugly sight of kicks pulled to the left which is the normal occurrence this year.

I agree with you. Ford was standing and walking the sideline in 4th quarter. I also think he was held out as a precaution as to not aggravatew it. Hoping he can play friday.

Not really. Made it sound like they needed to see if he could get over the mental side in practice today. I got the impression they were holding him back with an eye towards playing. One of the reporters in the presser said he saw Ford walking down the hallway.

I'm pretty sure we won't know a thing about Ford's playing status before kickoff and that's just the way Fickell wants it as USF prepares this week.

I am counting on Tavion Thomas to do our work for us when Utah plays Oregon.

Per Keith Jenkins

Source on Cincinnati Bearcats RB Jerome Ford’s availability tonight against USF:

“Don’t hold your breath.”

It’s looking like the Tampa native won’t be able to put on a show in his hometown. Charles McClelland handled most of the first-team reps in warmups.
