Roger Staubach was my all time favorite. He was terrific.

RE: 2019-2020 NFL Regular Season
Like most NFL discussions, we're spending entirely too much time talking about the freaking Cowboys. You'll notice, the discussion is about past success and excuses for recent failure.

Okay, feel ya Bricks. We suck lately. Our defense has been completely terrible. The Cowboys have a long way to go. Your team is looking good lately so let's see what happens.

Bill, you’re a good sport. I am pumped about the Bears draft, but we’re not close to a championship either. All in fun I hope.

Most prospects who fall like that are just frustrated. By the time they get the call, they're just thinking "It's about time", and they don't care who they end up with.

Yeah, tend to agree. But if I was a bears fan it would at least give me a tad bit of pause. But, he seems like the type of guy that will have a chip on his shoulder vs pouting

RE: 2019-2020 NFL Regular Season
No idea what to make of it and I don't know anything about his personality in general. He may have some reservations because Trubisky failed, but it's a pretty good spot to land: large market, great history, face of the franchise with clear opportunity to be the starter no later than opening day year 2, and a low bar to be the best QB in franchise history. Then throughout the draft and FA, they focused on putting offensive pieces around him. They improved the OL and skill positions are above average. I really like the RB talent and depth and the WR position is also good; Robinson is a legit #1 and the depth is decent. They don't have an obvious second option, but they have talent. We need Mooney and Kmet to take a big step in year 2 (I like Mooney a lot; Kmet was inconsistent last year).

I'm not concerned, but I hear you.

How'd i know that was coming........... lol
Cowboys fans are so "cute".

I will give you this, certainly the only time in the last 25 years this statement has at least mild potential.

Rams and Bucs are both better than Dallas, imo. Green Bay and Arizona are in same category as Dallas, but this is a good Dallas offense. Their schedule is really trash, so their record will be great, but I don't think their defense is championship level yet.

Agree, although it does appear to be miles ahead of where it was last year. This D coordinator is known for building pretty solid D's but that will take time.

How do you feel about the Bills? I’m curious to hear everyone’s unbiased perspectives. I’m obviously biased, but as a lifelong Bills fan… I’m cautiously optimistic. Pummeling the Chiefs last night and seeing the downright shocked look on the faces of Mahomes and Kelce made me feel good about this year though.

It's hard to root against or doubt the Bills at all, even as a Jets fan. They look legit and the process that's led to them getting to this point has been very sound. They have a lot of likable players on their roster and McDermott is an excellent coach.

And, as we've of coursed talked about a lot, having a UNCW grad at GM doesn't hurt either.

The Bills defense looks good to me so that makes them a real problem in postseason.

The Bills are more than a problem, they're the favorites in the AFC right now.

Just saw a stat this morning that Brady has thrown 40+ passes many times in his career but last night was the first time he'd ever had 80%+ completion % in those games.

How many of those were passes of more than 15 yards (before yards after catch)? Many years he’s been a short pass maestro which helps with completion percentages.
