Belleville: 2,12,13, 22, and 23
Fordson: 7, 28, 32
included a match-up between #7 Antonio Gates Jr (son of) and #2 Myles Rowser.
21-19 Belleville, it was a Freshman QB for Belleville stole the show.
River Rouge is another just over the border with top talent.
Forgot to mention a Toledo offer that had just decommitted from Knetucky, WR/CB Jeremiah Caldwell from Belleville. They also have this 5'7" soph wr who was cut-off headed towards a TD and launch himself from the 5 yd (15ft) between defenders and landed in the endzone.
Since OL has been a topic of board conversation, Fordson has three seniors all last named Parker, SOLID 6'4" 300lbs DLs. Someone has a heck of a food bill. And they're not the best linemen on the team. LB, HC's (played under Kelly @ Grand Valley) kid is just 5'9" but 180 lbs as a Soph who was all over the Belleville backfield.
Hey, if Springboro can promo Dayton, I can promo SE Michigan. :)

Well it’s happened again. This last commit has put our class at the top again. Not that it matters. How does this keep happening, and we never have anything to show for it

There is sound argument that the ranking method is at fault. Getting "first" based upon great recruits at the skill positions ignores the heart of the game is on the line. If we get first because of our OL and DL recruits, then even a mediocre RB is going to get 5 yards. Linemen are almost a sure 4-5 year development. They're not heading off to greener pastures. Concentrate on finding under-developed linemen within 2 hours with heart and body metrics. Hit hard trying to out recruit lower P5s for a couple special linemen, particularly DE and watch the wins come.

That's the formula, plain and simple!

And there’s the problem. We are not developing our players.

Maybe it’s just me. But it seems like the 2022 recruiting classes are slow to fill. I’ve looked at different conferences and few are full or near full. My thought is new ruling on compensation for NLI or Name, Likeness, Image. Seems likely recruits are now also focused financial security.
Anyone else

Medlock looks big and SLOW. At the next level it’s all about speed! Having UConn offer doesn’t look good. They’re terrible and belong in the MAC. Almost lost to Yale.

Medlock looks to be a bigger version of Koback, doesn't look as quick though. This guy looks like a bruiser or a possible middle linebacker.

Medlock was an early commit to Colorado St. Decommitted just a few weeks before committing to Toledo. Also had offers from Wyoming and Marshall.
Ran for over a 100 yds against Mater Dei, the nation's #1HS team. Guy looks like he could carry another 10-15 lbs (230-235 lbs.) and is a long strider. Could be a good short yardage back that could run over people.

So, if we're graduating 13 and you add maybe 4 more for injuries and transfers, maybe you have around 17 or so scholarships. We now have 13 commits with one OL. It doesn't seem to be a priority. I have been critical of the OL play, but I don't really blame the players. If you look at their offers, we get kids who are just as good as anyone else in the MAC. They just look lost out there quite often, and that is a coaching problem. Candle is stubborn and won't make changes unless he HAS to. Like with the D, he resisted until he couldn't.

RE: 2022 Football Recruiting Thread
I think we'll see some extra turnover this off season. a bit of a depth chart logjam with covid rs years. there's gonna be some fairly highly recruited guys looking at an uphill path to playing time. just need blockers all around. line, tight end, full back, H back, WR. I only played oline in middle school so I'm not too qualified to judge the coaching but I just see so much less communication between blockers and seemingly less feel for what the defense is doing this season. On some plays we are getting bowled over. On others we are making the blocks but there's one guy not recognizing the blitzer or guy in his gap and is doubling on another defender who's already blocked and missing the guy coming right at him.

Been away from board for awhile
Medlock will not measure up at D1 level. Much to slow.
Need OL quality commitments. It will be at least two years till we can compete at a high level. We were surely oversold on OL capability. We all were suspicious but hoped for best.
This offense has no deep ball game and almost no passing game. We sure do miss Peters!!!!
We’ve lost two heartbreakers but still 6-2 was minimum expected at the point of season.
Go Rockets!

His 40 time if accurate is the same as Finn's 4.65. Medlock is known for his blocking.
