The upset over Marshall was just a brief momentary interruption of the misery for Blue Raider fans.

Dog by 19.5 this week...

Showers (71%) for the game.

With the rain that hit heavily a couple of different times during the game with Marshall, rain during the game with the Flames may be a good thing for the Raiders (at least to keep game close). The Raiders do play surprisingly well in down pours when an underdog (@BGSU and home against FIU in recent years)

They’re defense is really good so I doubt we pour on the points like the last two games.

Go win, Blue Raiders!

Just to rub our nose in that embarrassing performance we had last week.

Good win, over Marshall!

To be fair, UAB had quite a few defensive starters missing due to injuries. If they were healthy the outcome would've likely been different. I'm not totally sold on Liberty.

Wins against:

2-2 Division 1-AA Campbell
2-3 Troy
1-4 Old Dominion
3-2 UAB

Those opponents are a combined 3-6 against other FBS teams not including losses taken by Liberty. UAB over North Texas and Tulane and Troy over Southern Miss are those FBS wins.

Their sole loss to Syracuse whose record is good but SOS is horrible handed Florida State their only win of the season. I believe MTSU can win if they stay healthy. The key is that QB and the runningback Mobley. If they are healthy, MTSU has a chance.

I don’t want to talk about my team much in this thread. Let’s just say My team’s offense is Atrocious and we kept Liberty to 3 points for a half without half a dozen starters on D.

Liberty ain’t some juggernaut and Willis is draft worthy but not 1st round. MTSU has a really good shot if they play efficient, disciplined and turnover free.

Which is asking a lot of MTSU lol

Here's my take. "IF", and only "IF"; MT gets a solid outing by Offensive Line, Whole Dang Defense, Special Teams, & Zero Turnovers by us; do we have a snowball's chance. In fact, we may not embarass ourselves against Falwell U. But, absent a near perfect game; Liberty's gonna Blow our Socks OFF! GO BLUE!!!

________________________________

Interesting to read that If UAB had all of it's players the outcome would have been different. I mean Liberty was missing 70% of their Offense line and still beat Troy. Due to Covid issues, Liberty has had 9 starters who have missed 3 games so far this year. Even against Syracuse, Liberty had starters out. Liberty show up, and went toe to toe with them on their turf, and lost a good game. Every team as the season goes on loses players. Good teams don't relay solely on their starters to win games. They are good because of their depth.

I hope when Liberty plays Ole Miss, and we go blow for blow with them (I don't think we have snowball chance in hell) that Liberty will then earn your respect.

I think if every time team plays efficient, disciplined and turnover fee has a chance to beat anyone on any given Sunday. I do hope MTSU comes to play.

1. It's Home Coming and it would be nice to see a good game.
2. We need to be tested more before the Ole Miss game
3. The better games, means more viewers. No one wants to see a blow out.

Safe travel's MTSU, Let's have a good game.

MTSU goes 4 and out after going for it on 4th Down at their 40 yard line. Liberty scores in 3 plays. Not a good start for MTSU...

Liberty - 7
MTSU - 0

Troy is also garbage.

Getting Jimmy Marshall going is key. MTSU finally on the board Liberty leads 21-7.

Are there a lot of TV timeouts being called in this game? Gametracker shows Liberty calling their 5th timeout of the half.

Tv and injuries, they’ve only called two.

Wow we just fumbled the ball. Liberty gets it on the 35 with a timeout.

24-7 at the half, MTSU is killing themselves. Way to sloppy to beat a team like this.

Yeah, well, with Marshall struggling against ODU, that win last week ain't looking as nice.
