That is... ugly. Conference not giving a great look this year, and the top 3 are leaving. A conference who's best team is #74 is a terrible conference. Need a lot of improvement.

I agree.
If we beat them we can rank ourselves above them.

I honestly don't understand two it took so long for SMU to get ranked. A better finish to last season (which shouldn't count but always does, see Clemson), and they'd be inside of 20 right now.

Also, everyone who has ECU above UCF has lost their minds.

Seriously.

And again, as with soooooo many other metrics, looks like it isn't THE TOP THREE leaving...it's three of the top five leaving. Sounds a little less dramatic, though.

Needing a Hail Mary to squeak past LaTech doesn’t scream “top 25 team”.

But now at 5-0 there is a body of work.

Ponies are starting to hit stride.

I do hope they stick around here for a bit longer.

SMU went to TCU (regarded as the best, only really, defense in the Big 12) and mushroom stamped them. Time will tell whether Skip's La Tech team is a quality win. They gave NC State a big enough fit to get Clemson dropped from the rankings.

Always find it interesting when you call a team bad that you just lost to. Just makes you look even worse. All the reason more Memphis shouldn't be ranked ahead of us.

To be fair Temple got obliterated by Rutgers and beat soundly by Boston College. Memphis beat Mississippi State, controversial as it may be. Memphis has the better overall resume despite losing to Temple.

Cincinnati - Obvious #1, but wins over ND and UI looked better pre-season
SMU - Pass defense shaky, but the O is something else
Houston - When Tune is on, look out plus easiest schedule
The Rest - What a scramble!
