Knue still in a sling?
Don't know but probably not available.
Sucks that Knue is still out. Good news is that Westmoreland is stepping up to fill in. This group is very skilled and ALL these guys come back next season.

As someone mentioned, CC & staff did a really nice job on evaluating those transfers from college ball, be it FBS, FCS or JUCO.
While everyone spoke of the need to improve the defense from last year, the newcomers on OFFENSE have been remarkable.
We have added QB, RB, WR, etc. and they have been significant contributors. and quite frankly don't need a lot of help along the OL.
Westmoreland, Smith, Stewart, Bryant, Hamilton... All contributing significantly on one side of the ball.

Big, coordinated push on social media from the team and the athletic department to keep the higher student attendance going for this game. I'm glad to see the creativity and commitment.

Agreed. Strike while the iron is hot. I have a feeling this will be a very well attended game and am hoping we can get 19k plus for this one. I'll be there rooting on the boys!

From the second link: "Two players were supposed to return to practice on Thursday, along with another two on Friday."
"Six more will be available again on Saturday in time for Texas State’s road game at Eastern Michigan — if they can clear their protocol. But they’ll have to fly commercially out of Austin at 5:30 a.m. CDT to land in Detroit at 9:22 a.m. EDT to drive half an hour west to arrive in Ypsilanti, Mich., less than four hours before kickoff."
"The head coach said it would be tough to put those players on the field considering they haven’t practiced all week. But they’ll be helpful if emergency situations arise, as they did last game."
So they had 25 guys out, with 4 returning that the coach feels will be able toplay. So they are still down 21 players. Now we don't know how many are two-deep guys, but that has to affect them. Let's just hope the Eagles stay (relatively) healthy.
That's right. Why would anyone want to stay and COMPETE? It is much easier to concede and leave.
Or the kid simply took his future into his own hands rather than waiting for someone to give it to him. He probably realized the guy in front of him was better and he just wants to play football.
If I've been waiting for a promotion at work for a few years but someone already has a lock on the job and another company offers me a better gig...you better believe I'm taking it. Times have changed.

Sounds like they will for sure be without at least a handful of guys. I'm hoping we get our secondary back in (Bogan, Vadan).

Crazy, but it could happen.
In 1991 I had tons of miles on Pan Am airlines (they literally gave them away like confederate money) and I knew Pan Am was in trouble (I think they folder not longer after).
So I wanted to run a July marathon in Salt Lake City. Dumb, but I wanted to fly the day before the marathon. The flight was a prop to NYC and non stop to SLC.
We had say a 4-hour hold in NYC. Got into my room about 2 a.m. Marathon was 7 a.m. Got about 1 or 2 hours light doze.
Then ran 26.2 miles in around 3 1/2 hours. P.S. felt like s*it afterwards. Lack of sleep catches up the SECOND night.
BTW, squaring the circle. 1991 was the year of the Thomas brothers, Marcus Kennedy, etc. All played in the NBA summer league then in SLC. That was fun.
Later, first Saturday in October, I ran a marathon in St. George, Utah and qualified for Boston. I flew into Vegas on THURSDAY.
