Agree. Texas teams are tired of the eastern schools as well. Nothing in common.

I am not sure if I have ever shared this...but all my ex's live in Texas.

Nice one.

Well, first the cusa media sucks in comparison to the SBC’s. Everyone knows that is the case, including the majority of cusa fans on this board. Secondly, there are a whole lot of other reasons why the SBC would be better for several cusa schools, like the geographical footprint, leadership, etc. I don’t need to list them all or go into detail about them as there ready plenty threads on this board alone that do a very good job of doing that.

You can always count on FrankyP/LaCajunsFan to bend the truth. I think we can all agree that we're Bobcats fans this week. Hopefully, Ohio will get the W this
THURSDAY.
Yep, that's the correct day; Thursday. Get used to those Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday games any CUSA teams thinking of jumping to the Suckbelt.

Thursday on ESPN. Not ESPN2, ESPNU, or ESPN+.

As far as teams that may be jumping, that’s a different story. USM, Marshall, ODU, UAB, Charlotte and UTSA have all been in constant contact with the SBC office.

Please, provide your evidence.

I was going to say the same…I call BS

I'm not going to list them all, but you get the picture. The ONLY Thursday SBC game on actual ESPN is November 4th with Ga St at Louisiana.

Marshall is gone bro…hate to tell you but they will in the AAC or SBC. They won’t be alone.

My sources are within the conference and administration. Why would I name names. So I get cut out of info. It’s really obvious who has no sources or tangible connections. They always ask for sources. I’m not going to quote Twitter or reporters. I’m having conversations with people who are closely monitoring the situation and who are involved in the process.

If you had legitimate info and someone said post your sources you’d tell them to F off.

I'm certain they'll go AAC before stooping to the dredges of the Sun Belt.

As far as your sources? Anybody can give an answer like yours, but I have doubts that your sources are legitimate. Conveniently every non-Sun Belt 2012-2014 defector falling all over themselves copping a boner to join the Sun Belt to be with crap programs like Louisiana-Monroe and Texas State in what would absolutely be a lateral move? I don't think so.

No, games against 2.0 Texas schools would find their way onto ESPN or a Fox network, and Houston would be ranked here and there with QB's like Case Keenam, so they were worth the hassle.

Serious question: So, why was Marshall left behind? I mean, Houston has jumped two conferences now, all the way to the Big XII. TCU did the same earlier.

The AAC highly values markets, which is why I don't think we will go there this round either.

These decisions were also made in the early 2010s, when Marshall was still trying to show a tangible product. We really didn't come into form until around 2013 and 2014, by then conference realignment already took hold.

Annapolis, Maryland (home to Navy) only has 40,000 residents while Greenville, North Carolina (home to East Carolina) has 91,000 residents. These aren't large markets. You could inflate the market size by counting the populations of surrounding suburbs, but if we do that for Navy and ECU than doing the same for Huntington, WV and Hattiesburg, MS suddenly inflates those populations to comparable sizes to the AAC's smallest market.

The AAC didn't add East Carolina or Navy for market value. They added them for their brand value. It's the reason why I believe the AAC will give serious consideration to Marshall and Southern Miss. They have a long-established and recognizable brand at the FBS level with a history of winning (albeit, not recently in football for Southern Miss).

You wont see us in it. Tulane wanted away from us as far back as 1.0. When the league split in to 2 divisions, They were west, usm was east. Many in the league wanted a perminate cross division game. Tulane fought against it. It was natural that it would be us.
They will claim academics when we are R1 then talk about a school thats below that. Use market as a argument when we had a radio affiliate you could listen to leaving their stadium.

This man's statement is accurate

If it goes that way then WKU and Louisiana Tech will be a good base to build from. However, I seriously doubt that CUSA teams will pay the exit fee to play on Tuesday and Wednesday night verse Sunbelt teams. If they're stupid enough to do that, then good riddance.

I would want to fire CLT's AD if he is not in constant contact with all of the AAC/CUSA/SBC offices. Until the paperwork is signed, we want to keep all of our options open.

Don't want to upset anyone but my sources tell me that Coastal, App St, Ga St and Ga So have all been in contact with 2 conference offices not named SBC. Apparently since espn has a partial investment in CUSA now and CUSA's media contracts have only 1 year to go after the current school year, there is some interest by all parties concerned. Stay tuned.

You sound like you may be a very important person, who probably has many leather-bound books and I bet your apartment smells of rich mahogany.
