Men’s soccer - 2021/22
8/26 - Northwestern @ Chicago State

The Cougars just knocked off a Big Ten school, 2-1, in their first full season of soccer since the late 80s!

Chicago State controlled the tempo early on in the 1H, and took a 1-0 lead within the first 5 minutes. Northwestern tied it up later on in the first half.. and pretty much dominated the possession in the second. However, a PK was awarded to the Cougars in the 88’ minute.. and Calwayne Allen stuck it in!!

I am SO excited for this team.. this university. What a damn win!!

Thank you!! I appreciate it. As a university, we haven’t had many of them over the years so this had to be an awesome feeling for Coach Banks and his team!

That's awesome! Go CSU. Northwestern returned 11 of top 12 players from Spring, so they aren't some new team at all.

Josh, is Seatgeek your facility for most home games? That's a REALLY nice place to play!

Great win yesterday! The central midfielder looked like a really strong payer who had good skills. It was really fun to watch. I think that CSU has the best arena and soccer stadium combo in the WAC.

Todor- Yeah, SeatGeek is the home stadium for both soccer programs. It’s definitely a heck of a location!

Rob- Thanks! I’m beyond thrilled for the program, and hope they can begin to turn the tide for the athletic programs. The JCC and SeatGeek are awesome places to have your home games. Now if they can start to get some W’s the programs can gain some semblance of a home field/court advantage!
