Should people who have had COVID in the past & are now tested & show to have antibodies be given an “antibodies “ card & treated as vaccinated individuals & counted as part of the now immune population? I know there is not a lot in the media about this, but if you talk to your personal Dr. most will tell you your natural antibodies are as strong if not stranger than vaccines.

To me the goal is to be immune whether you get it through vaccination or antibodies after being sick & both should count.

38,000 people in the US died from the flu in the past year, which is about average. There have been more than 600,000 COVID deaths in the US. Keep your fingers in your ears and pretend it doesn’t exist, but COVID is real and it’s getting worse.

There have not been 600k deaths FROM or BECAUSE of Covid. Go read the CDC's own website. There have been 600k deaths INVOLVING Covid.

But believe what you want. It's your personal freedom. And it's my personal freedom to turn down a flu/covid shot. But people like that Keeper guy (and maybe you?) want the federal government to force it upon its citizens.

I have already had the virus (not disease). It was like a mild version of the flu that lasted 3 days. I have antibodies, don't need your vaccine.

You REALLY don't know about the motorcyclist who died in a motorcycle accident being counted as a Covid death? That is just one example of "how it's done". It’s a real cold virus that was used (and continues to be used) for political reasons by the media and the left, who are largely one in the same. My parents both got COVID before vaccines were readily available. When they became eligible to get the vaccine, their doctor told them that they should still get the vaccine, because it gave better protection in studies than COVID infection.

The thread is literally about Covid, Covid testing and mandating Covid vaccines. I’d say it’s been pretty much on topic.

It is alarming how quickly and willingly people gave up many of their freedoms. I can tell you as a CPA that works with hundreds of small businesses and whose wife owns a retail store that the shut downs absolutely ruined countless lives. I saw family businesses that had been opened for decades shut down, families forced to file bankruptcy and even had a client take his own life after his business collapsed and it was all at no fault of their own. We were fortunate. My business was rather unaffected, people still had to file tax returns and get other accounting work completed. It changed how I operated and interacted with clients but there was not a significant decline in revenue which allowed us to fund my wife's store and keep the employees paid. However, if we had been solely reliant on her business like so many other families we absolutely would have been scrambling to survive...

Masking, fear of crowds, shutdowns do not happen in a vacuum. They have massive impacts on our small businesses and the families that own them and the employees that work at them.

That is the worst of it. How anyone can justify keeping Costco, Walmart, big box grocery stores, subways and buses packed AND shut down every small business is despicable. It is murder.

This isn't a 1 or 2 year thing. This is going to have lasting effects for the next 5 if not 10 years. The collapse is just starting.

I guess like politicians, medical opinions differ.

Honestly there are not enough time tested studies to draw any concrete conclusions.

That being said, I myself would still consider someone with antibodies just as immune as vaccinated, I mean we are hearing of more & more breakthrough cases of vaccinated people but not hearing much on repeat COVID patients.

FWIW, I myself chose to get vaccinated, & expect it to eventually be like the flu vaccine that requires additional boosters as different mutations emerge. But that is my choice & believe it should be a choice.
