Looks like just a mistake in the story...and they don't attribute it to any person or put it in quotes.

Anyway, if you look at the current state of beds at the UMMC, they're at a -11 for Adult Covid beds, so the gist of the story which is solely related to the UMMC being overrun is accurate.

If only/majority of unvaccinated are going to the hospital - doesnt that mean the vaccine is doing what it should - preventing you from getting seriously sick. so doesnt that mean that the vaccinated should be able to unmask and go about living their lives. doesnt that also mean that people can then weigh their percieved risk on the vaccine or getting covid.

HMMM seems to me like people should be able to make their own choice?

It seems to me the vaccinated shouldnt be scared of the unvaccinated but the other way around.

Fully vaccinated people can still carry around and spread the virus to the unvaccinated without having symptoms themselves. Additionally no vaccine is 100% full proof for Covid-19, much less any of the variants.

And yes, you can remain unvaccinated and get the virus...and try to develop your own immunity, but if large numbers of citizens does that it overwhelms our health care industry and inflates all of our health care costs.

If the original version didn't do that when everyone was not vaccinated then what makes you think the new version will when 40-50% are vaccinated and many more have acquired immunity by having had Covid?

This is just more diversion and deception, nothing more. ICU in any hospital is an isolated, limited space that is never empty. But, they can convert additional beds to ICU if necessary. When this whole Wuhan flu stuff started, the surge was expected to be much higher than it even was now. The government threw money around like a sailor at a strip club for the hospitals to expand temporary settings including converting parking garages, unused space, open areas, etc. They were able to ramp up then, but now all of a sudden they can't? Makes no sense.

Now, what HAS happened is that, due to many things including continual hype and fear many people quit their jobs. Some lower paying staff decided it was better to quit working for free government money. Staffing shortages have since ensued, which is why hospitals are struggling as much as they are.

Again, let's also remember that while the media and government are making this to be the worst pandemic to ever hit mankind, they only report on the worst cases, the most attention grabbing cases. To hear these hospital CEOs, the media, and our own CDC tell it, IF you come into contact with anyone who has had Wuflu, you either have the "vaccine" and live or you die. Only two options. The reality is, just with any virus, not everyone who is exposed will contract it. Of those who do, most will not suffer and die on a ventilator unless they make big pharma richer. But, because there is a concerted effort to create fear and hysteria, the average American believes that if you are exposed, you will 100% get it and most now believe if you get it, you will end up in the hospital without the jab. THIS has created the labor shortages you're seeing that has prevented hospitals from being better prepared.
