NMSU is already FBS and I know Tarleton is planning the jump, gearing up with upgrades etc but does need 5 years (at least) to be ready...but I would really love to hear from fans of other schools as to whether or not they think their school is going to jump or stay FCS. I think the "Texas 4" is all in from what I have heard. but I have serious doubts that the Utah schools will come along.

Ideally, I would love to see the Texas 4 plus Tarleton and NMSU in a "South Division" and bring in Idaho, Montana, and the 4 Dakota Schools as a North Division. That would be my WAC wet dream!

Yeah maybe wet dream was a little too far. I mean it would be a nice conference. But maybe just a moist dream.

The Western Athletic Conference is conducting a conference-wide feasibility study of going FBS in the next year or so. Let's not start our umpteenth conversation on whether the WAC will be going FBS and let's wait for the study and hopefully transparency by all partners on what this looks like, what it means down the road.
