and per the thread. yes, an A10 opponent would be great. so would Loyola. buy road games at Pitt, Cincy, Penn St, Northwestern, Depaul, Xavier are close and worth it in terms of close enough competition to have a real shot. Iʻd avoid power conf programs known for big or physical play. I suppose you also look at easy flights out of detroit. Syracuse, BC, Temple, St. Johns, Vandy.

Imagine in todays instant transfer eligibility world that TK would recruit hard all recruiting season. I would even expect TK to take more players than he currently will have open scholarships. Roster management will be key for everyone moving forward. Just look at the B1G teams taking and losing transfers at Michigan, OSU and other schools.

this time of year guys are playing tournaments and if a player has some good runs you often see several schools offer within a day or two.

TK said he would adjust his recruiting plan based on what he saw from his freshmen. since then, weʻve offered a 6-5 sg and a 6-7 forward, which tells me...nothing, except we will continue to load up on versatile 6-4 to 6-7 type players

Indeed ... look around the entire league and the bulk of players offered (per verbal commits) are SG-SF-PF types in the 6-5 to 6-8 range. Very few true point guards and very few true post players.

I'm starting to think good mid-majors can find decent to good PG and post players dropping down a level in the portal. Good PGs don't want to sit and decent to good posts usually take a year or two to develop, anyway.

So load up on the wing-guards and wing-forwards with the hopes a developing diamonds in the rough.

Also ... if you check those recruits on verbal commits you will see anywhere from three to six MAC schools all going after the same kids, particularly in Ohio, not to mention Horizon offers as well.

Will be interesting to see, in the end, where these kids actually sign.
