It’s the third. I forgot to update it. My bad. It’s fixed now.

wonder who the fourth ends up being and if its the same ooc game for both years. Can't imagine that happens very often ooc.

RE: ODU Football Future OOC Schedules
We don’t play an FCS game over the next three years. I know some of you guys like that and say you’d rather play another FBS game instead. Or that playing an early season P5 game is better than a bowl. But after attending the Myrtle Beach bowl, and the excitement and hype around the program as well as the extra practices, I think having a FCS game that should be a win is more beneficial. If we hadn’t played Hampton this season we would not have bowled. There could be a lot of years like that. That extra win is important. Personally, if I had to chose, I’d rather bowl in Dec against Tulsa on ESPN than lose to a P5 on a streaming channel in September and not bowl. Of course, we could win or get 6 wins in conference. But why make it that much more difficult?

True, but if those P5s are UVA and VT, I'll take those over a Bowl game, especially if we win.
But let's do both.

We'll take that @JMU win next year as one--especially if they are going to play us around rivalry week after facing so many back-to-back FBS games.

I hadn’t considered that. I figured we wouldn’t play JMU next season because they’d be in transition. But since we don’t have another FCS game scheduled, it wouldn’t hurt us scheduling wise. They will have a lot of advantages compared to past moveups with the instant FBS to FBS eligibility now. They will be a tough game for sure. If it happens.

RE: ODU Football Future OOC Schedules
Harrisonburg news has JMU looking to accelerate their transition up. They apparently have 4 FBS games scheduled at home next year and need another one to add. Hearing all that love from Wood and Harry about being in-conference with them again, hard to think we weren't the first FBS team lined up to help them out. Just my own deduction though, nothing formally announced that I've heard.

RE: ODU Football Future OOC Schedules
It's also hard to see Liberty in that group, given that rumor about JMU only deciding to move to Sun Belt if Liberty was not a part of it. Payback can be something else, huh?
Either way, I think JMU will be ultimately be granted an exception just based on a long history of privilege and favor from legislators and media. When all this shakes out, the Pilot and RTD will be giving them as much coverage as we get (RTD already gives them more) and before long they will be wrapping a second layer of new seating around that stadium while our on-campus leadership and media in Norfolk continue to gloss over one-two shorter trips per season. I seriously believe that it's coming and I believe JMU will be selling a nicer, larger stadium to our recruits in no time. They certainly were able to get it done for basketball with no prior capacity needs of note. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if/when they do the same for football.

After watching Tech today, they might try to back out of the ODU game. I sure hope not because I would like to see them leave Norfolk with their feathers tucked between their legs, again.

Thinking the same thing. They look awful. UVA might be just as bad. Don't think for a second that our players aren't already smelling blood in the water.
