Get over yourself. Programs put out stuff like this all the time. This is NOTHING compared to the "H-Town Takeover" and "Jack Boyz" stuff we have had to endure from Houston or the gazillion tweets UCF put out over the years.

As a matter of fact, we could have released EXACTLY the same tweet with none of this stuff going on and nobody would have thought twice about it.

As I mentioned in that other thread, I hate it when schools do this stuff.

It’s the University’s annual fund raising drive…don’t try and read something else into it..if you read the description of the next level fundraiser you might learn it’s about the student athletes reaching their next level both academically and athletically…but then you support Memphis..who doesn’t get the academic side …

Meh. Our athletic dept. folks have been doing this for the past several years now. Trying to build our brand, increase fanbase/interest/marketing, improve gameday experience, selling season tickets, etc. An assistant AD position was created and filled last year to do all of the above.

When you’re selling your success to the general public in a fundraiser you certainly do advertise your selling points…you want people to believe they are donating to a successfully run University…If Memphis isn’t doing that maybe that’s Why Memphis has such a low endowment…
