I hope you aren't disappointed.

I live in Tuscaloosa and have several here. Nothing like it used to be.

I’m not so sure about this one. He seems to lean a little towards Marxism.

Spent some time there during my 5+ years at school. Started working at the one on Frayser Blvd as a high school senior in '74 and then would work occasional shifts there too over the years.

Ah, to be young and dumb again.... 03-weeping

This doesn't even make sense. 5 Restaurants 930 employees in two years? Either they are planning on a heck of lot of turnover or you will have your own personal waiter at your table, a restroom attendant and I am guessing valet parking as well.

For those of you in Mississippi that equals 186 employees per restaurant. I didn't want you to have to take your shoes off when you got to the number 21 or be arrested for indecent exposure.

Not sure what your point is here but when they show dumbasses from other states on national tv they always seem to be from Florida.

They are, by far, my favorite fast food place. On road trips, I will go out of my way to stop.
For comparisons sake...There IS no comparison between Tops and Whataburger - in quality of food, service, or timeliness.
I mean, I like Tops and am heading there right now. But Whataburger destroys them.

Grew up on Whataburger. Inn and Out blows them away.

Disagree. I mean, In and Out is fine, as is a dozen more. But WAB is the best fast food.

I ended up going to lunch at Danvers instead of Tops. Danvers is your under-rated Memphis burger.

Tops is so trendy "under-rated" that it's now over-rated. Although with Tops, it's the burger AND the ff. Other places tend to excel at just one.

Make sure to try Culvers in your travels. Mainly a Midwest chain, but so dam awesome.

We have a regional chain here that is better than any national franchise - it's called Braums, and it is pretty dang good.

One moved into Hendersonville, TN when I lived there. It was good, but didn't make my top 3.

RE: Whataburger Comes Back To Memphis
The Whataburgers I have had in TX while traveling were identical to the Sonic’s we have here…..maybe fewer desert options. But my chicken tenders with cup of white gravy I am sure came from same supplier as Sonic.
I honestly thought they were same company just branded differently for different regions.
