The Chippewas will look to add a quarterback in their 2022 recruiting class. Among those being recruited are these five to keep an eye on:
1) Luther Richesson (6-3, 210) of Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy - A consensus 3-star recruit whose current offers include Central Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Charlotte and Appalachian State. A likely P-5 signee who otherwise could be Cincinnati's to lose with the Spartans already having a QB commitment in their '22 class.

2) Max Brown (6-3, 205) of Tulsa (Okla.) Lincoln Christian School - A hidden gem in Oklahoma whose recruitment is beginning to take off. Brown is also considered a college baseball prospect as a 3rd baseman. His current offers include CMU (12 June), Sam Houston State (22 June) and Houston Baptist (25 April).
3) Mike DePillo (6-6, 210) of Clarkston (Mich.) High School - "Big Mike" received an early offer from the Chippewas on April 23, 2020. Since then he's added an offer from Bowling Green (18 January).
4) Matthew Schecklman (6-4, 205) of Appleton (Wisc.) North High School - He received his first Division I (FCS) offer on July 16 from Northern Iowa, but it's not expected to be his last. Schecklman attended camp at CMU on June 13 and at South Dakota on June 17. The Chippewas are also recruiting and have offered his Appleton North teammate, DL Wesley King, who visited CMU June 26-27.
5) Colin Parachek (6-4, 200) of Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Collegiate Academy - Originally a class of 2021 recruit out of Dexter (Mich.) High School, Parachek reclassified to the class of '22 to improve his recruiting stock. He attended a 1-day camp at CMU on June 10. In addition to the Chippewas, he reports recruiting interest from Pitt, Toledo, Bowling Green, Charlotte, James Madison, Youngstown State and Lehigh.
