Starting Lineup (before any more possible additions)
G- Lester
G- Nolley
G- Timberlake
F- Williams
C- Dandridge
First off the Bench Lomax (replacing one of the guards the others slid over) and C. Lawson {Williams slides over to C} (later in the year Minott)? There is a real log jam at that SF/F spot.
What's everyone else's prediction?

With current roster:
G: Alo
G: Lester
G: Nolley
F: Timberlake
F: Williams
If we get Duren, then the lineup becomes tricky. I just don't see them playing PG by committee unless we absolutely have to. Before he sprained his ankle last year, for at least the 6 games or so when we turned the corner, Alo was our best player.
I think Penny likes having Alo coming off the bench, but who plays PG for the fist few minutes? Lester? Earl? Tyler? The Jayden experiment didn't work.

No kidding. We still have fans who invent point guards.

Starting lineup will be opposition driven. Opponents with a strong inside presence means we have a strong inside presence at least to start, so Dandridge or another big. Without a big one the floor, Memphis could play havoc with an opposition unable to match up.

Williams, Nolley, and Lester are the given .... where they play; I agree that it will probably be matchup driven .... Nice to have flexibility with players who can play multiple positions ... maybe not well, but multiple positions still ....

If the draft projections are accurate, and if he’s fully healed, I think Earl’s gotta be a starter.

Starting lineup won’t matter. Penny won’t slow down and won’t decrease the D. A bunch of people get 15-23 minutes.

I've been critical of Penny as a coach, but he sure can recruit. No argument there.
If he can manage minutes and egos, this should be quite a year. But, that's going to be a tall task. You've got 4-star dudes on the roster that may be 8 or 9 on the depth chart.

RE: Starting Lineup (before any more possible additions)
Earl Timberlake 6-6 G So. (starter) 26 min
Landers Nolley II 6-7 220 G R-Jr. (starter) 24 min
Lester Quinones 6-5 205 G Jr. (starter) 26 min
DeAndre Williams 6-9 190 F Sr. (starter) 27 min
Malcolm Dandridge 6-9 232 C Jr. (starter) 17 min
Alex Lomax 6-0 190 G Sr. (2nd rotation) 25 min
Chandler Lawson 6-8 F Jr. (2nd) 20 min
Johnathan Lawson 6-6 F Fr. (2nd) 15 min
Josh Minott 6-9 G Fr. (2nd) 20 min
Sam Onu 6-11 C Fr.
Tyler Harris 5-10 G Jr.
John Camden 6-8 F Fr.
Jayden Hardaway 6-5 195 G Jr.
Going to be hard to get minutes on this team. I think everyone sleeps on Malcolm but I think he is one of the better passers on the team. A high low with him and DeAndrea with three other shooters on the floor would be fun to watch. Big Sam could get some minutes based on matchup. But I imagine if we don't get Jalen, DeAndre will be playing a lot of C to get the most flexible lineup on the floor. Eight guys listed between 6-6 to 6-9, those are a lot of long arms in passing lanes. I think we could be even better on defense this year.
* Jalen Duren (if he's on the team push Malcolm down to (2nd))

I think Timberlake is a given as well, assuming he is fully healthy and healed.

If we are playing Williams 23 minutes at center, we have problems at center and will be weaker at the 4 without him. Dyren would probably solve that. Otherwise, we need at least 30 minutes out of Dandridge and Sam.
Also, we will have to play Lomax more. The other guys aren't good enough ballhandlers, or quick enough to create offense against opponents that play good perimeter defense.

Well like I said Big Sam might give them a breather but bigs are the hardest transition from HS/AAU to College. They are normally just dominating because of sear size and you are correct if Jalen Duren joins then all these are non-issues. Alo only averaged 22 minutes last year but we had Baugh. I think you are going to see more Lester running the PG this year than we might think.
We have always run more pro sets (I don't love it I wish we would use a set person to initiate the offense) anyway which you don't need a "true PG". Hell if Minott comes along he could start the offense. He brings a lot of the same skill sets as DeAndre Williams (point forward) but just younger. I think if he has a good year he could be a 1 round pick. His game is suited perfectly for the modern NBA. He might need to put on some weight but you draft potential anyway, KD couldn't even bench press the bar.

Yeah, I'm really interested in how all the Freshmen come along. I didn't put any numbers on John or Sam since I'm just not sure. Obviously, Josh and Jonathan are going to get minutes. If both John and Sam are able to contribute you are going to have a lot of mouths to feed. We haven't even mentioned Tyler, but I think he will be happy to get any minutes at this point.

Everybody is talking about the point depending on ALO....I can see Tyler in that spot a lot of times...I just hope Penny has learned not to play them both at same time.

Had some older players last year but team was still young overall
Not this year
Williams
Nolley
Lomax
Harris
Dandridge
Lester
Hardaway
Lawson
All Juniors or more
Is Timberlake too?
Some nice freshmen too but they will be nice additions and not relied upon, although will love it if any of them excel

Tyler's averages more TO than AST for his career don't know if I want him handling the ball. I would still want someone else as the main ball handlers cough cough Lester and we could have him running off screens shooting. If he does get hot watch out!

Minutes at the 5 likely will be driven by the opposing roster.
If we can rebound at a high level and not get exposed inside I can see playing small
