Thanks for noticing that we've won bowl games and been ranked, won in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, won a national championship, build $40 million in new facilities, had 100% of our football game inventory selected by the paid TV partners while in CUSA, so we're doing just fine.

Random AAC school fan comes in and talks smack using AAC talking points, Marshall compares school by school, that that fan shuts down.
Next random AAC school fan comes in and talks smack using AAC talking points, Marshall compares school by school, that that fan shuts down.
Then the next random AAC school fan comes in and talks smack using AAC talking points, Marshall compares school by school, that that fan shuts down.
That's happened like 5 times here. Even this Temple responses finally resorts to "well we're still in the AAC". Because the AAC talking point is all the ammo they think they have.
I'm a fan of a school, not a conference. Do I acknowledge top to bottom that the AAC is a stronger league? Collectively, yes. Do I think that means every program there better than us? Absolutely not.
If you do the weighted geo-center of Cincinnati, Temple, ECU, Memphis, Navy, USF and USF, it's basically like 12 feet from our 50 yard line. We have more historic success than virtually every school in that league (I acknowledge Navy football tradition, Cincinnati's basketball era of the 50's and 60's, and Memphis's basketball history). Our fan base would rival anyone on the football or basketball sides. We have a solid TV standing and a tradition of generating our own media revenues. We all know the only reason the AAC is stuck at 11 is because one must connect through Charlotte to get to Marshall from Houston and Orlando - and because we are the 71st media market despite our TV tradition.
So congrats on having AAC stats in your pocket. Beginning in 2 years, we all get to play by the same rules as the big conferences moving forward in football - just in time for Huff's new recruiting level to take effect. Perfect!
