Grace in 3rd. 6 laps remaining. 1st and 2nd have separated. 5 girls directly behind Grace.

Grace does not have it today.

7th in 32:38.91. She and Chelangat were the only 2 runners who scored who did NOT have lifetime bests.

It's really been a long season, especially over the past 3½ months with indoor conference, indoor Nationals, cross country nationals, outdoor conference, NCAA Preliminary Round Regional, and now NCAA Outdoor Nationals. I think she's out of gas (that's a lot to ask for a 20 year old).

Now, I'm wondering if she will compete at the USA Olympic Trials, or shut it down (about 3 weeks until the 10K).

I'd have to see if I know someone to get tickets. But, I'd love to.

We still have Michelle Fokam in Saturday's triple jump. She has an outside shot for top 8 and more team points. Right now, we have 7.

Unfortunately I missed the race because our swim team board had a meeting :(

But congrats to Grace on an amazing season. Two freshmen finishing in the top 8 at NCAA's is amazing.

Hopefully their presence will help the team recruit more throwers (you'd have to think some young UK throwers would be interested in Rice) and distance runners

she had a great season. So much to ask of in such a short time. We are going to try to travel to worlds next year. We had tickets to the Olympics but we all know how that went....

We have nice recruiting classes coming in for both men and women. Plus, the men will finally have Grant Levesque, who's going to be a junior in school, but a freshman in terms of eligibility. He is a game changer - outstanding Decathlete and pole vaulter.

She only a Freshman so competing is a great accomplishment.

I can see how that seemed like a negative comment. I just meant that the field performed extremely well, and that made things tougher.

Congrats to Tara and Grace on their first team All American status.

Looking forward to hopefully many more in their future.
