New AD since the last go round, fresh Brown rumors, and possibly two assistant positions open. Link below -

Larry Brown would be a great player hire and would excite the fan base. 100% for this move.

Same topics on several shows.

Penny said JJ was a one year job but he is employed till Penny say he gone.

Miami talk is flattering but He is Memphis only.

Cisse can come back.

Glad Harris is back. Didn’t want him to leave. No scholarship was available but Harris volunteered to walk on.

Done with the transfer portal unless he isn’t.

If Penny is going to be held responsible for this program's results I think it's time to let Penny hire who he wants. If Brown still "wants to help Penny" be successful and Penny still wants Brown as an assistant then why should *anybody* - NCAA, AD, boosters - stand in their way at this point? Let the guy run his team - finally.

RE: Jason and John talked about Larry Brown and Memphis
Nick Saban will be 70 in October and got a pretty lucrative contract extension. It's pretty obvious by just looking around that you can be an old decrepit 70 or you can be a young 70. The health of people, especially as they age - can vary *widely* and that's an understatement. I mean if you don't think Larry Brown can coach basketbal I think it's probably better to just say that and provide something to back it up. Signs of dementia? Physical disabilities? I mean he's pretty sports engaged on the internet and wasn't Indiana thinking about hiring Brown few months ago?

Agreed...

After a certain point age is just a number.

But we would essentially lose a recruiter because I don't see Brown doing that grind. I do think he still has passion for coaching\teaching though.

If Saban can be head coach at 78, then Larry Brown can assist at 80.

Can he fix turnover issues? Lazy passing issues? I bet he can.

We wouldn't lose a recruiter at all. We can have 3 on the road, Larry would not be one of the three. Brown would be an incredible asset for anyone coming in on a visit. Also, Larry is "safer" if he is confined to the campus.

Just having Brown could help land recruits/transfers. The bottom line is this NCAA sheet hanging over Penny's head. I'm 50/50 on Larry Brown.

That's a good point. I wouldn't mind closure on the whole Wiseman thing. Anything more than a slap on the wrist doesn't make sense, but you never know.

I don't know about him coming here but I think he's still at Vandy. I believe he got demoted from assistant to director of player development if I'm not mistaken.

I love the way his Whitehaven teams played.

Faragi and LB on the bench would be EPIC....Faragi reminds me of Anthony Grant (tenacious) and LB is the element that gets players to perform at the peak of their abilities.......This team will be a CHAMPIONSHIP team in EVERY aspect COGS COGS COGS
