If GCU drops the game tonight vs a 20-32 team then they aren't as good as we think.

They should win, but I am nervous. In baseball all you need is one pitcher to have an out of this world game, and any team can beat another.

Thursday, Game 3: UVU squanders a 6 run lead as Seattle plates 6 runs in the 8th inning, with the tying runs coming off a 3 run HR. Seattle walks it off with a double in the 9th for the 9-8 win.

Thursday, Game 4: Hornets jump on UTRGV early and behind a stellar performance by Randall cruise to a win. UTRGV got some runs late but couldn’t keep the 3 Magic in the winner’s bracket. Hornets win 9-5.

Yeah, you're right. It was probably a full-throated head-back laugh.

Looks like he gained a little weight, which is good. He deserves to enjoy himself.

Nelsen has been a great President from an athletics point of view. Ponied up the money to keep Christiansen amongst Pac12 solicitations, fronted massive amounts of cash to pay off a garbage FB HC to hire away a Pac12 coordinator to replace him, and most recently hired away a top Pac12 assistant HC to take over the reigns of women's hoops. Nelsen doesn't mess around. Can't wait to see what we do when we finally jettison Katz with men's hoops.

Thursday, Game 5: NMSU jumps out to an early 3 run lead but GCU scrapes back into and holds on to a 1 run lead for the 5-4 win. The game was there for the NMSU upset, they just couldn't hold on.

Perfect tournament so far, the lower seeded team has yet to pull of an upset.

Friday:

NMSU faces Seattle at 11 AM PDT.

UTRGV will face the winner of the morning game at 3 PM PDT.

GCU and Sac State face off at 7 PM PDT

Whoops, meant "higher seed" has yet to win a game.

Jimenez is the only Aggie that looks like he wants to be in Mesa today.

Yeah, tough turnaround for NMSU. They are sleepwalking through this one. Played a tough one late into the night, get up and face Seattle in the morning game. Seattle last played yesterday morning. Tough.

Edit:
Friday, Game 6: Seattle jumps out to an early 3 run lead and cruises to an easy 10-0 win over a shell shocked NMSU team. Seattle's FR German throws a complete game shutout with 7 K's and no walks.

UTRGV 19-9 over Seattle. Maybe we'll get another chance at Sac State.

Good win. The Vaquero bats have caught fire.

Law of averages says you guys are due against us. I hope we can pull the upset and avoid UTRGV until it's for all the marbles.

11-0 in the 6th inning. Looks like GCU is moving on to the championship game and Sac State and UTRGV get to face one another once again.
While I thought the 5-4 win over NMSU yesterday was exciting, having and 11-0 lead is a bit more relaxing. Go Lopes!

Ohl was lights out tonight and the GCU bats did what they have done all season. Christiansen went with some interesting pitching choices. He didn't use any of his go to pitchers so we'll have Adams and the top relievers available tomorrow.

UTRGV 10-0 over Sac State. Sac State had runners on third multiple times, just didn't work out.

Now we need to beat GCU twice.

Great game by the Vaqueros. Hornets couldn't come up with a timely hit, and there were some clutch defensive plays that kept runners off the board. Bats stayed hot as well. Good luck against GCU, tap into that 3 seed magic again and things will be interesting.
