This year the schedule is tough.
Every game will be a battle.
If we come out of this as a dominant team we will have earned it.
Go Blazers!

RE: Will they never learn?
This is without a doubt the toughest schedule UAB has faced since at least the mid-2000s. It's as much the way it lays out as it is the opponents. No favors were done not having a home game until October and picking up what likely could be the two strongest teams from the East (although I expect Western Kentucky to be much improved).

I get why some people would be skeptical, and I get also why a lot of people are waiting on the dropoff that so far hasn't come.

But UAB is stacked. I think the critics hung up on TJII's interceptions are not looking deep enough. The bulk of his turnovers came in 3 games. Even hurt last year and nowhere near 100 percent, he didn't have a bunch of turnovers and that was with him not able to play the entire field or put a lot of zip on the ball. If he's healthy, I think he'll have a great season. Receivers need to step up though.

Yeah, the dates are concerning. We’ve got a trap game @Tulane (after a tough conf game and a week before what the players will undoubtedly look at as the biggest day of the season). Not SUPER concerned after that until Marshall & UTSA on the road and back-2-back.

I not really concerned about the team’s motivation to stomp La Tech in our new home. And, we also have the most talented and deep team we’ve ever had. And, with the eligibility waiver, we’re pretty much what we were when we went into Huntington & left with the hardware.

Tulane isn't a trap game. UAB has no business not taking the Wave seriously because they will be a very good team.

Of course they have no business taking Tulane lightly. But that’s why it’s called a “trap.” They shouldn’t, but they might.

A "trap" game is a game against an opponent that you are expected to beat before you a big/important game. UAB will not be favored against Tulane and could possibly be 1-2 heading into that game. I don't think UAB will be looking ahead to opening the new stadium with the possibility of being 1-3 with a Tulane loss.

So unless Tulane is 0-3 and UAB is 3-0 when they meet there is no possibility of this being a trap game for UAB. It's just isn't.

Gotta go with Hidden here. Tulane's good, and it's not a secret. We might get our butts beat, but it won't be a trap game.

If the players underestimate Tulane for some reason, that's on them and the coaches.
