He has some weird belief if he is the last person to respond he wins. So no matter how many times you point out he is un-informed or wrong, he will eventually respond with unrelated gibberish and some general statement that he believes is true (ie UC fans blindly support the administration). In his mind getting that last word matters and somehow makes him right.

So on that note, Coach P, you don't know UC basketball or the fanbase.

UC fans, all because u have a ton of UC fans following a bunch of pro-UC opinions doesn't make that UC fan opinion right

if we took this conversation out of a UC space and into the general public, literally no one would be on your side.. having people agree with you who are from your bubble doesn't make you right. not one major media outlet outside cincy has sided with you guys ...not one of you guys has given any reasonable explanations for any of the plot holes.. if i went to a forum with tons of flat-earthers, them ganging up doesnt make their point right

calling me misinformed. yet i address every counter point, while you guys just ignore any legitimate points...

you guys would rather have an innocent man portrayed as a monster, than just say UC is trying to make a financial play (sidenote: obviously not all UC fans)

UC announces Chad Dollar as the final bench assistant. Massive get from UGA where he is a stud recruiter in that state. Really looking forward to some of the talent he'll be able to bring in. The bench assistants are such a massive upgrade and probably the best staff we have had since Cronin had Stubblefield, Larry Davis and Darren Savino.

An innocent man portrayed as a monster! Hello hyperbole. And, shouldn't you be focused on the ball diamond?

That type of characterization of this situation isn't even worth a response.

Jarron Cumberland comments: https://theathletic.com/2579130/2021/05/...asketball/

Key piece here is something that has been explicitly referenced multiple times in this thread - Prince Toyambi faints and is hospitalized during a conditioning session (September 2019, before Cunningham becomes AD) and Brannen continues to run the conditioning program as he pleases with little deference to medical/strength staff.

lol im not even sure what was owned or even the point... the article says cronin was just as intense he just didnt a better job of explaining why he did what he did and let the players feel involved, while brannen was bad at that ...and it was still Brannen staff is what saved him.

sidenote this article was very led lol.. the writers was essentially dictating what JC said.. the questions werent open ended at all...not "what was your experience like in his practices" ..all the questions were like "the practices were horrible, tell me how horrible they were to you?"

Justin Williams Is a great writer.

But jarron is usually short answered. He set the questions up perfectly for someone who is as quiet as jarron is. Seriously Justin Williams is a frickin gem in Bearcats coverage

"At the time, Keith had already gone down because he caught a cramp or something. Me and Jaevin (Cumberland), we barely ever made it through those things. But Prince, he was just passed out and laid out on the ground. He went to the hospital, and this was early in the morning. We were up at like 6 a.m.

I was throwing up nonstop, every workout. One time, we were running on the track, and one player had to make a certain time. And as he’s trying to make it through the finish line, he’s throwing up. Not stopping, nothing. Coach wasn’t worried about his health. He liked that. Cheering him on because he’s running while he’s throwing up."

The problem is he continued to disobey the strength/medical staff the following season and made remarks about the irrelevancy of heart monitors (and those same monitors helped save Toyambi's life).

RE: Tweet: Cincinnati and Brannen parting ways?
brannen just dropped the lawsuit... it pretty much has all the stuff youd expect (sham investigation and suspension etc.) .... its 60 pages and just dropped so everyone hasnt gone through it yet

but early points noted by people on social media

- the "spy" was the old the strength coach Tyler Stuart , alleges he was ordered to by cunnighman to find dirt

- the $135 therapy session can be classified under "good deed" by the ncaa..also notes that the player who received it specifically asked for outside help, hints the player didnt want anyone on the staff knowing his business

- the reported "overly strenuous unauthorized workout" was a free throw drill where anyone who missed more the 5 of 22 free throws had to do shuttles.. the suit is stating 1 player needing medical attention “does not establish that a given drill is overly strenuous"

- the lawsuit shows the bad financial situation of cincy, and using that as "uc's motivation to falsely seek cause"

- the lawyer intends to tie this case to the ohio state case in 2004 case when ohio state tried to fire Jim O’Brien for cause for loaning a player thousands of dollars.. jim o'brien won and was given the full buyout

Stating that UC wanted to fire Brannen so they could bring in a ‘higher profile’ coach after UC hired a coach from UNC Greensboro is a beautiful self own.

His client probably wouldn't be happy if he said to bring in a more competent coach. Might as well make the laughable claim it was about a higher profile coach.

Does this hurt or help Brannen’s chances for another head coaching gig in the future?
