The Eighth Wonder Of The World!
Yeah...about that...

Quote:Taiwan electronics manufacturer Foxconn is drastically scaling back a planned $10 billion factory in Wisconsin, confirming its retreat from a project that former U.S. President Donald Trump once called “the eighth wonder of the world.”

Under a deal with the state of Wisconsin announced on Tuesday, Foxconn will reduce its planned investment to $672 million from $10 billion and cut the number of new jobs to 1,454 from 13,000.

The Foxconn-Wisconsin deal was first announced to great fanfare at the White House in July 2017, with Trump boasting of it as an example of how his “America first” agenda could revive U.S. tech manufacturing.

So a deal that Trump made has fallen through with Biden in charge? Before you put this out there did you find out why exactly they pulled the plug in this?

While you are at it, find out why the Great American Car Company just announced their Zero Emission car production initiative IN MEXICO..........

I guess neither of those are going to replace any of the jobs he took out in Pennsylvania.

He doesn't see it that way. (No longer wanting to invest in the US) He sees it as Trump lied. If Trump were still POTUS he would be wearing them out to start.

A tiny bit of research would show that the Democratic Governor of Wisconsin reneged on tax subsidies (mostly the foregoing of NEW tax revenue and not an actual 'cost' to the state) reducing a $3byn investment to about $80mm...

Tell me exactly how this reduction in jobs (and all the tax revenue and unemployment and assistance cost savings that comes from that) not to mention a reduction of new capital into the state by what is that, 94%?? lays ANYWHERE but at the feet of Democrats??

This is just more of the 'funny accounting' that Democrats so often do... where reductions in tax increases are 'tax cuts' and the foregoing of revenue and jobs that were DIRECTLY tied to investment that OBVIOUSLY doesn't happen without the foregoing of taxes are 'savings'

Democrats are just stupid on this Tom. 100% of nothing is still nothing... At least if you get the investment you create jobs and push wages up... which pushes overall tax receipts up and state expenses down. You lefties are so obsessed with 'taxing the rich' that you cut off your own noses to spite your face. The rich simply choose not to invest, and you get nothing.

CNN didn't tell CommieTom about that, he's going to have to go back to his TV and wait for Don Lemon to tell him how to feel about this.

If the point of the OP was to make Trump look bad, that pretty much backfired. Gee, I wonder why Foxconn dropped out?

Where did the idiot go? This post was the dumbest thing he’s done in some time. How can you be so moronic? To think we have “his people” running the show now and this is a “win” for them. They are a danger to us all.

Well...Despite horrible Democrat tax policies they still get 1500 jobs. Still a win..but..much smaller. This is not on Trump and this OP needs a video on Fail Army.

But the Repubs aren't as smart as ditzy bartenders who scuttle 25K jobs for NYC. We need to do better to create nirvana where the government supplies all jobs.
