Also, Peyton Manning > Tom Brady and no one will convince me otherwise.

No disrespect but Peyton isn’t even the best QB in his family. I always thought Archie was better.

Jordan's answer as he then proceeds to destroy all things Brady:

No doubt Mike was a great player, probably the greatest to ever play in the NBA. His problem isn’t his performance but the sport he played.

Football is the ultimate team sport. As Howard Schnellenberger said at a football clinic back in 1986. “I can recruit the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. If I don’t recruit ten other guys to go with him, he won’t be able to perform like it. Denny can recruit a 7 footer and immediately improve his team”

A great basketball player can carry a team. Time and time again we have seen it in the NCAA tournament. You don’t see that in football.

That’s what makes what Brady has done so impressive from a championship perspective.

You just proved why Jordan is better.

Yes, as great as NFL QBs like Brady are, they are helpless half the time. I mean, Brady got his fourth ring standing on the sidelines while Pete Carroll foolishly had his QB throw a pass at the goal line.

Jordan played both ways and almost all the minutes. Just far more impact on games.

And btw, I don't regard Jordan as the hoops GOAT - for my lifetime, that's Kareem. But just saying.

My Dad always said that if he was a GM, he'd pick Shaq over Jordan. For the simple reason that no one can guard Shaq. It's a permanent matchup problem for the opponent.

Kareem was tough to guard, but some guys could do it.

Shaq had quick enough feet to be top-10 all time in blocked shots. Yet he outweighed everyone who guarded him by at least 70 lbs (he came into the league at 325 and played most of his prime at 340). His speed/strength combo was so off-the-charts that no one stood a chance at guarding him.

I'd put Brady in that echelon of Kobe and Jordan for strictly killer instinct and clutch play....along with titles. That said, in the NBA you have to play offense and defense, Brady just had to deal with offense.
