The top looks kinda like the "who we should be #12" debate around here. Take that list and subtract the teams already in the AAC---and at the top, you essentially have basically the same list of candidates for #12 we've been kicking around for months.
BYU
Boise
CSU
lol....Then suddenly this happens
Marshall
App St
That's the first thing I noticed. Those two get moved to behind Hawaii and Tulsa would say that's accurate top 14 prospects in some order depending on who is looking. Hawaii is too far away to be viable, Tulsa is too small a private and not a big enough metro (or controlling enough of it) to really be considered. But those twelve (minus the App and Marshall who are longer shots than Hawaii and Tulsa) would be the ones who would be up for consideration.
BYU, UCF, Houston, and Cincinnati being that top tier prospect overall. Geography will still count so it's hard to say one would be preferred over the other.
Than it's a Memphis, USF, Temple, SDSU, Boise level potential, some success at multiple sports, not quite as high end as the first tier some weakness. Again though geography; so maybe they beat out a tier 1 school like Houston because the Big XII wants someone out of Texas, or whatever.
Then the next tier could work but have a limitation of one kind or another, or just don't stand out. SMU, Tulane, CSU and the long shots Hawaii/Tulsa.
Then the flawed tier with the even longer shot App, Marshall, who just at this point have zero chance compared to say the first tier 40% second tier 20% and 5% for everyone but Tulsa and Hawaii who are 1%. Nobody is going any where though
