How about Tyler instead of the next Conor Glennon? Does that work better for you figuratively and factually?

Perhaps if we thought of Tyler as the “prodigal son” vs. “wayward” it might be more palatable, and harder to argue with....

Warren’s decommitment has nothing to do with Tyler Harris. Don’t know why anyone would think it is.

I don't know why a Southern Miss fan is posting on a Memphis board either so go figure ...07-coffee3

the "conference foe" fan is commonly used by banned posters, presumably to avoid suspicion.

So you think Lomax and Harris our there at the same time is a great option? Please don’t tell me it won’t happen again. I thought surely Penny wouldn’t play them together much the first time around, but he did.

It's like finding a home for wayward Memphis kids is now the priority over putting together a winning program that was an elite PG & a competent big away from a potential final four.

OMG... Penny let a top 100 recruit with three years of college experience come back on the roster as a walk-on... I just cannot believe the horror and lack of discretion from Penny, he clearly has decided to turn his back on building a winning program for allowing this home town player to be a walk-on. Goodness, I hear less dramatic conversations from my teenage daughter and her friends...

Point is we still need a legit big & a high level PG - no drama.

We still have 2 schollys.

Doesn't fit either, but was supposed to teach forgiveness and acceptance of even the wasteproducts who wanna come back home.

Hmmm...I don't recall the came home to be taken care of part. But had fallen from grace and lost everything, worked his way back home with his tail between his legs, and was welcomed home like a prince. Was lost but now found kinda' thing.

“Prodigal” means “wasteful and frivolous”.
The younger son was frivolous with his inheritance.
The older son was wasteful with his relationship with his father.
You can be prodigal without ever leaving the farm.

We'll just have to wait and give him the benefit of the doubt. He's not the same player that he was when he first came to Memphis. More seasoned, experienced, etc. He just might surprise a lot of people.

Young men do tend to mature some from 18 - 22. As the father of two sons in college, they are a lot easier to be around now that they are 21 and 23 than when either one was 18 or 19. So, let's not pre-judge him based on things he did a year or two ago. I don't necessarily like being reminded of some of the less bright things I have done in my past.

It's more like Cisse is gone because the people around him think he can be an elite back to the basket big and Penny doesn't want to play him that way, and cannot afford to play him during clutch minutes because his FT shooting is worse than Shaq's was.

Warren is probably decommitting because of the Lawsons.

Harris doesn't matter in either situation and as a walk on probably isn't really threatening anyone's PT.

The dismissiveness so many are showing to Harris, as though he will be just a random few minute walk on, is awful

I get you are hedging because you are convinced that if he is highlighted that is bad news for Memphis because he is under 6 feet, but he is unlikely to be a top performer he is very likely to be in the rotation, getting solid minutes and helping Memphis win games

Why so ugly?
