RE: “The chances of Nuclear War are increasing”
This is the best news of the Biden presidency.
What this means is that the fear mongering of COVID, BLM, and Climate change are failing to control the populace.
They are playing their last fear card.

They weren't until January 20th.
That dog won't hunt. The specific things they mentioned were that their military lacked the ability to keep up with ours. That their equipment was rusting and they are incapable of putting up a fight.
Seems they were wrong.
Now we have to worry about a week president, China, and Russia.
Things are looking up.
Russia is a 3rd world country. Other than their nuclear arsenal, they are not a threat to us. Doesn't mean they aren't a threat to their small neighbors.
They are definitely not a 3rd world country. I can't tell if you don't know what defines that or if you're just using hyperbole.
If you've been in Russia outside of Moscow or St. Petersburg, it is a 3rd world country. Its infrastructure is pretty non-existent and it is economically dependent on natural resources.

Well, if we're going by convention then Russia is a 2nd world country.

I think the chances of a nuclear incident are increasing, but not a nuclear war. At least not yet.

The jury is still out. We haven't had a real POTUS since 1992.

Iran will end up being the next nuclear target, and it won't be from us. A fight with Russia is now a fight with China. If Russia goes down, China runs out of fuel. That's why Russia is rustling its sword. China knows the West is weak again and feels the need to pick its spots.

I think it's most likely that China makes a move against Russia directly in an attempt to 'annex' Siberia. Russia's saber-rattling is at best a semi-bluff, hoping they can at least project enough of a perceived threat to keep China at bay. China will have to move on Russia before moving on the US and our European allies.

While we our throwing things around. I think Russia and China have already communicated what they want. Russia retakes Ukraine, China takes Hong Kong, Taiwan, and establishes their ownership of whatever the name of that sea is over there.
They have to know we wont be willing to take on China/Russia/Iran all at the same time. If we do, we are toast.

Japan and South Korea might have an opinion on this as well. Not to mention India. I don't think we would be alone and we certainly wouldn't be the most impacted.

That's certainly a plausible outcome. We wouldn't be "toast", but it would require a nuclear response on at least one front. I just don't see Putin trusting China for the long haul. Moscow sits far closer to western allies than it does to Beijing, and I feel certain Beijing would make it well known they would view Moscow as a necessary but weak partner. I don't think Putin would be happy living under Beijing's thumb.
On "our" side, SK and Japan are in a pickle, with Australia close behind. Not that China has many true allies, but on their end I think they view NK as extremely expendable and likewise with Iran if they can control Russia's Siberian oil fields or even push into Kazakhstan. I don't think China views the southern asian countries as strategically important, nor as a threat.
China could 'sacrifice' NK by supporting an invasion of SK which would keep SK, Japanese, and US forces occupied in the Pacific while using minimal resources on their part. Unless the US is prepared to give up Seoul and Tokyo, China could wager that we would ignore a Chinese/Russian war as long as China didn't directly invade SK, Japan, and Australia.
Russia would probably view a Chinese attack on Kazakhstan as a massive threat and would have to send the majority of their conventional forces to counter, leaving them unable to defend the Siberian oil and gas fields if China were to pivot that direction. The question is what Russia would do from there. The answer, IMO, depends on who Putin trusts more. The west, or China?
