Cmon now we have played against many small schools where the team might not be that good but they have one guy who is putting in work that we all would love to have. This guy is definetely an improvement over Alo.

Yea but this guy can make a layup and shoot free throws...He would ruin our team identity. No thanks.

As I ponder what a team such as Tulsa;Coogs; Baylor would do to this guy 03-pissed
As well as the ball is in his possession too long for this team....Our team was @ it's best and crescendoed when the ball was moving rapidly....I wouldn't want Le$;Nolley;Davion;ET waiting around (standing) again waiting on this guy to make his move 05-nono We just came from that, would be a MAJOR setback.......Red Flags IMHO......Not happening on this level......Alo is better .....IJS 05-nono

I would think that he could adapt his game to fit what Penny wants. He had some drives but I didn't see him just dribble outside without having any movement or plan of what he wanted to do. It also seems like he understands angles when it comes to making layups on the fast break. I think he would definitely push ALo for playing time. Would still rather have the kid from Iowa State .

Penny has made it clear.. He wants team players... Besides, folks here are making good points about Jones playing lesser competition as a PG.. I rather get Rasir Bolton who seems to fit on Penny's system better.

Another thing.. I see Jones too distracted into getting in the NBA anyway.. Let's remember what happened with Rayjon Tucker.. He burned Penny as Jalen Green did.. They skipped college and turned pro.

I don't understand the love for bolton over this guy...

Iowa State was 2-22...

Freaking 2-22

Shot 31% from the 3 and averaged 3.2 Turns a game.

If Penny lands either one, I’d be happy. If you have any faith in the writer, David Cobb, at CBS Sports he just updated his ranking of top uncommitted transfers. Devante Jones was #6 overall and Rasir Bolton was #8. FWIW

Yasssss....Rashir is the key and is light years ahead of this guy.....I saw too many instances where there were too many fumbles;dribbling off of legs and haven't seen anything defensively from him.....Also Alo needs to be pulled instead of pushing......We need Alo as a backup, Not the other way around.......I just think Alo will raise his game this summer......Based on the skill level increase all around of this team.....This guy is going to struggle when the level of competition increase......He couldn't handle SMU 07-coffee3

It’s really kinda hilarious, he’s averaging 7.2 rebs..... and hasn’t left the floor for any..... He may be a chase-down artist for rebounds like a squirrel scurries for nuts..... he hasn’t jumped one time..... Maybe on Ritalin 02-13-banana 03-pissed

Awful take.. he put up 32 pts, 7 assist vs a winthrop team that wouldve been in the NCAAs as a junior. Also had 17/5 vs Northern Kentucky, 21/4 vs MTSU, and 16/2 vs Utah.

All those teams are better than Tulane and ECU.

It’s crazy because growing up, I always wanted to play for Kentucky because of Coach Calipari being the legend he is. Now it’s like, I don’t really — I care about the school name, but I wouldn’t be completely overwhelmed. It would be a blessing to hear from Coach Calipari, just to hear what he has to say about my game and how I can help him, how he can help me.

I talked to a couple guys that are higher up, so I feel like Calipari would (call). I could see myself at Kentucky, I definitely could. It’s going to be a crazy decision for me and I have a lot to think about, but Kentucky would definitely be an option, for sure. They’d definitely be in my top five.

That doesn't sound like he's excited to play for Kentucky to me.

03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao I'm guilty of doing this as well, so I understand......I remember going to the Bluff and seeing players there, getting extremely excited they would soon wear the Memphis Tigers uniform....AAMoF "aa" Andre Allen, is the best BCC player I have seen, his teams ALWAYS won.....I watched aa can approximately 8 three's (some from deep) and was like "we're going to WIN a championship" (well, we really did).....However, when Bluff players got into a structured role, against tougher competition, you just won't see anywhere close to the same level of production....Maybe because it's sorta "freelance"; loose and even more relaxed that players feel more comfortable.......

I'm going to address the Defensive Juggernaut of Winthrop BB, that "almost made the tournament" 03-zzz......I'm going to go with Tyler Harris here, just to keep this general......I could easily see TH putting up these same numbers against these teams that you dug up......If TH played in that league, I'm almost certain that TH would be claiming that he's going to enter his likeness into the NBA......Does his abilities translate to what Penny wants on the Memphis roster?

Alo became Mr. TN in basketball....How that he do that? ofcourse one has to be able to score......If Alo played in this conference and played Winthrop; N Kentucky; MTSU and Utah, Alo would be All-Conference/First Team player....

I'm not gonna put Boogie; DB; Lester; Nolley in this scenario......Well no, I will add Boogie....If BE played against the likes of Winthrop, he would drop 50, and probably wouldn't break a sweat 03-phew He would probably be kicked out of that league as it wouldn't seem fair....

My point is....This guy is the equivalent to Alo/TH, he's just benefiting from a tremendously weak league, as he's scrambling around chasing loose balls that are getting tabbed as rebounds......7.2 rebounds at 5'10.....give me a ****king break....I didn't see this kid get up in the air one time in that vid 03-puke

Lol.. what are you talking about? Winthrop didnt "almost" make the NCAAs, they were in - they won their conference tourney, won their conference regular season and had 2 wins over likely NCAA teams. They were probably better than us that year.

Utah is a Pac-12 team and had a win over a top-10 Kentucky team. Northern Kentucky won their conference tourney and was an NCAA team.

Of course, I could easily be wrong.....Maybe good enough to come off the bench at Michigan..... reminds me of Damon.... Would not chose him over Alo for sure..... I think Alo would look like a top ten draft pick in that league too ...... JMHO

Alp became Mr.

My point is....This guy is the equivalent to Alo/TH, he's just benefiting from a tremendously weak league, as hes scrambling around chasing loose balls that are getting tabbed as rebounds......7.2 rebounds at 5'10.....give me a ****king break....I didn't see this kid get up in the air one time in that vid 03-puke

Lol.. what are you talking about? Winthrop didnt "almost" make the NCAAs, they were in - they won their conference tourney, won their conference regular season and had 2 wins over likely NCAA teams. They were probably better than us that year.

Utah is a Pac-12 team and had a win over a top-10 Kentucky team. Northern Kentucky won their conference tourney and was an NCAA team.

These teams are TRASH.......stop it already.....they are trash......You couldn't address anything else but trying to pump Winthrop.......I couldn't even watch a Winthrop game without 03-puke ....Even a blind squirrel finds a nut........I'm done with this junior CYA

Where did Oklahoma State come from? First I’ve heard of them. And what happened to Baylor and Texas ?
