Conners is playing aggressively so far today. I hope he keeps it up. This could be a wild afternoon.

rough patch of holes for Conners and he wasn't shown much on the coverage after the 4 bad holes- decent back nine!! tied for 8th/nice payday/ top ten Masters finish gets him back for next year!

Hit the links at the local club near sunset and my best hole of the four I played was a double bogey. I did hit three straight tee shots on one hole into the lake though.

A T-4th for Conners, his seventh Top 10 finish of the season, which is pretty amazing. He moves up to 14th on the Fed Ex Cup list.
Hughes finished T-52, which is still a nice paycheck.
Pendrith missed the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour, but still is 3rd in points and on his way to earning a PGA card.

It's done. Pendrith has his card.

PGA tournament this weekend. Corey Conners in the lead with the first round wrapping-up. Shot a -5. And looking very strong.
Mack Hughes also in the field & still on the course currently at +2.

What a great opportunity for him as this is one of the most prestigious invitational tournaments of the year. I’m curious as to how he got the invite. Pretty rare for a KF Tour player to play the Memorial. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Chase on the PGA Tour in 2-3 years. Over his collegiate career and minor tours play, he has shown the ability to go really low. Some guys are afraid to shoot low and panic once they get several shots under par.
Maybe Chase got an invitation because he is from Ohio and is talented enough to justify it. John Hahn got an invite in 2016 and I assume the Ohio connection made a difference.
Chase has been playing better on the Korn Ferry Tour as of late. He went through a horrible streak of missing 16 of 17 cuts but has made his last five cuts even though his finishes haven't been high. I remember Hughes going through similar slump his first year on the Korn Ferry Tour (it wasn't called that then though), so it's learning to play high caliber competition every week that is a key. It'd be great to see him make that the cut in a PGA Tournament.

Too soon. I think they are still playing four rounds and they are just finishing the first round this morning.
