The presser was yet another reminder of how fortunate the school and program is to have a guy like Dan Hoard as our voice. He adds such polish and professionalism.
I don't know how anyone could have come out of this press conference anything less than thoroughly impressed with Coach Miller. Love how he straight up said beating Xavier is a top priority. That said, you don't get credit in the record book for winning the press conference. I'm pumped though.

Yep...there is always going to be a person or two who wanted a Hugs line in the coaching chair for the rest of time, but he seems to have a finger on the pulse of the qualities UC basketball aspires for in its coaches and players. Intensity is there, respect for the program is there, and an understanding of the program's expectations are there as well. Obviously it needs to end up on the court, but I'm happy so far.

Well let us know when Doss shows up - that number should double.

He's an active guy on the sideline as well. One thing you can tell from him at the young age of 38 is he doesn't flinch. There was no dwelling on shortage of players, et. al. My guess is he will be working the next 60 days with no days off. I didn't dislike Brannen, and i'm not sure we'll ever know for sure all the details as i suspect it will be settled, but give Cunningham, Pinto et. some kudos. With a redone arena and conference expectations, they acted. Big swing in a few days time! On to football!
Seems like Wes is really humbled and excited to get this opportunity. Had a big smile on his face during that interview. I think he realizes this is a bigtime opportunity.

UC is a big job. Our fanbase sometimes doesn't value it enough. Miller clearly understands the kind of job it is and the kind of opportunity he has.

More people need to look at the Mark Few model (and hell, the Luke Fickell model) in college coaching. You can make just about every job as valuable as possible with enough work, luck, attention to detail, and commitment.
Very nice to be able to tell kids that you where a part of a national championship team and that you played and learned underneath a Hall of Fame coach like Roy Williams.
