Arizona waited 4 years after the FBI investigation became public to dump Miller. They basically let his contract expire. Arizona is still waiting on the NCAA punishment after 5 Level I violations were alleged. Talk about a bad situation.

Just goes to prove that cheating pays in the short run. Miller got his success and his cash, now years and years later someone else will get to clean up what ever the mess (if any) is.

I'm not so sure that is always true. Let's see what the penalties from the NCAA look like along with how long it takes to get back to the Elite 8's that Miller brought.

I believe you are correct about that.

It’s a shame that he ended up at Arizona. My guess would be that Sean was the paragon of virtue while coaching at his previous stops. I’m sure that the AD’s at his previous schools would swear on a stack of bibles that not only could he coach basketball, he could walk across water and feed the masses at the same time.

What is/was it about Arizona that turned Sean to the dark-side? Choir boys everywhere would like to know.

If the AD really thought that Martin was the best man for the job, it's pretty darn chintzy to let the deal fall through over that difference.

I wouldn't buy any of these rumors.

Yeah, we are to believe that Erik Martin balked at his first head coaching job, at his alma mater, for quadruple his current salary, because it wasn't enough money? Citation definitely needed . . .

Roughly initial positions according to multiple sources on other boards and/or tweets. Nobody claimed this was a stalemate by the way. I'm not sure why this has so much skepticism - what did you think we'd be paying? Miller's deal is reportedly 6 years and $8M which comes to a little over $1.3M or right in the middle of those two but I guess you'll have to find your own sources for that...
