Not sure why you are trolling on this. It is something he has openly talked about how at Vandy he felt he couldn't talk about his personal walk with Christ. At GCU he can do just that. Also OhIObOiLeRmAkEr ItS EvErY OtHeR LetTeR WhEn YoU TrOlL If YoU Do It RiGhT....
I wouldn't be shocked to see him on any list though.

I'm rooting for Damon Stoudamire to get the AZ HC job. He is a true blue Wildcat.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm trolling you because you have made it seem like GCU is one of the select few places that Bryce Drew would be willing to coach. In particular, you make it seem like there are strong reasons that he would turn down literally any autonomy 5 job (in the Big XII, secular, Catholic). I can't disprove you, because I'm not Bryce Drew, but I suspect if any P6 school came calling, he would seriously consider it. In essence, I think you have excessively over exaggerated GCU's staying power, and I think that you know it.

I'll take your word for it - seems like the sort of thing that they would teach you at GCU

1) I'm just going off of him being torched at Vandy.
2) While being paid well by GCU and just getting to GCU is another reason. 3) GCU is able to match salary.
4) As for the Arizona job, Arizona has five Level I rules violation allegations, including two alleged instances of academic misconduct within the men's basketball program, according to a notice of allegations the university released to ESPN. Does anyone at a good spot want to jump into that?
5) Who can predict the future? No one but I think it make sense for Drew to be timid to jump at a P5 offer thanks to his time at Vandy. Not impossible but I'd say unlikely right now.

Vanderbilt's academic standard makes that basketball program much hard to recruit to by any head coach. Bryce Drew was at a disadvantage in the SEC from day one. I think any good coach who goes to Arizona will have a high level of success. Arizona's name alone will bring in better than average recruits.

Per Jeff Goodman - Jans is one of the finalists for the UTEP job.

Hoop Dirt has 'odds' out on whom will take over at UTEP. Coaches with WAC ties below
5/1 Joe Golding Head Coach - Abilene Christian
10/1 Chris Jans Head Coach - New Mexico State
45/1 Marvin Menzies Former Head Coach UNLV + New Mexico State

Jerome Tang is the favorite at 3/1. He is probably the best recruiter (in Texas) of the bunch. The big question is can he dazzle UTEP with his X's & O's. Golding and Jans are proven head coaches.

Golding > Jans
Golding's price tag is lower to dislodge him from his present school. Plus Golding's ACU team got a breakthrough win in the NCAA tourney. Something Jans and NMSU are still chasing. The best thing for the WAC is UTEP hires Tang. Although, if UTEP were to hire Jans, Tang would be a possible replacement at NMSU. Tang was a finalist for the Aggie job a few years back.
