I'm not concerned about Penny getting players. It's a matter of time before we see new blood who we'll support as much as we did those who are leaving. That said...I really, really hate the transfer portal.

This transfer portal crap is the end of the college football and basketball that I grew up loving. There is no loyalty and no kid wants to work or be held accountable. I fear that this is the start of a spiral that will make college athletics, as we have known it, unrecognizable. I am not saying that this whole amateur business model did not need to undergo some major changes, but the whole house of cards may be on the verge of collapse. Sad...

That's the problem RECRUITING THE PORTAL.

NCAA needs to change the rules, on how a player can be contacted after they enter the portal.

Probably not.
It's a senior-heavy team with players who transferred in.
They're in the F4 in year 7, after it took Sampson 4 years to get to the NCAA.

Don't like it, but have to accept it. If you get torn up about it, you probably need a new hobby.
And the way the Supreme Court case is going, it ain't changing back to the old ways anytime soon. Players gonna get paid.

Houston was patient, and now he has it going well. They would have been in last year so would be four years running

Tremendous pressure on Penny for next year. Salvaging this year with a strong finishing kick mattered. Even with a handful of transfers out Penny will still likely have an experienced talented team next year with any kind of mature replacement for the three veterans leaving

Let alone options from incoming freshmen

With anything close to DJ and Boogie coming in, and as much as I like those guys and would have loved to see them as Juniors they are not close to irreplaceable. And with about 6 veterans returning, Mostly Juniors, the newcomers will have time to assimilate

Please play at least 2-3 softer games. Get some rhythm, then play anyone.

Well, that might just be, to steal a phrase, hammer, nail, coffin. I have struggled to remain a basketball fan for over a decade now, this might just finish it for me. I never worried if Keith Lee was going to Duke, or even if CDR was, or how many Q1 wins we had or what the NCAA might do to us 2 years after they ruined our season, or any of this crap, I just enjoyed rooting for my team. This is just no fun any more. If we are going to cobble a team together every year to play a bunch of other teams doing the same thing, what's the point. The NBA will seem stable compared to this. How many transfers are we averaging over the last few years? Tubby had 6 one year. We have at least 5 this season. Don't know if I can take it. Go Tigers.

It's a good way to get rid of the dead weight. DJ spent two years auditioning for the NBA. He was a black hole when he touched the ball. He thought he was Magic Johnson. Terrible handles. dribbled with his head down, low basketball I.Q. Decent shot for a big. Couldn't drive. Wanted Penny to smoke Nolley or he was leaving. F him.
