Yeah that was surprising to me, I thought Bouknight would lead y’all to the round of 32 or sweet 16 at least

RE: NCAA thoughts
I think I'd rather lose how Georgetown or UConn lost compared to how Rutgers just lost.

Nova dominating North Texas like they should. Things get real for them on Saturday now vs Baylor.

I will be pulling for strongly for Nova over Baylor, Creighton over Ohio, and Houston over the Cuse.

Would love to see Sister Jean — excuse me, Loyola — win the whole thing now that North Carolina and Georgetown are out.

Creighton might get Ohio but then Gonzaga would be waiting. tough break for the league having to face quite possibly the 2 best teams in the round of 16.

Our whole offense was trash. This was the toughest UConn team I'd seen since Calhoun coached but we came out and played so soft. No idea what happened lol. Hopefully the incoming freshman class is as good as advertised or else we'll be a bubble team next year

I don't like the way CU is playing, and I think Gonzaga is an incredible team. But I think CU can beat them if they come to play and hit their 3's. If they play the way they did when they dominated Nova, they can beat anybody.

Sucks Nova isn't at full strength. They would have a puncher's chance against Baylor with Gillespie

With Gillespie, Nova could have won it all. But VU is still a tough team and gives the league hope for this tourney.

As to Creighton ... very difficult to predict. The Jays could lose to Ohio today or win and then stun the Zags.

I don't know that Nova could have won it all. They had 4 wins with him vs tournament teams and 2 were vs Georgetown. Other 2 were vs Texas and Creighton.
edit- I stand corrected- they won 5. They also beat Hartford!

Make that 6. They also beat us with Gillespie.

Unless we also count as Hartford 04-cheers

I think Baylor may wind up being the best team in the country.... Brutal matchup for Nova.

I've got Nova beating Winthrop but losing to Purdue. Tough going without Gillespie.

I'm obviously a homer but I have UConn in the Elite 8 lol. I think we can handle Maryland. No idea if we'll beat Bama but I know we've got a legitimate shot. I actually have MSU making it to the sweet 16 and if it's us vs them I really like our chances. Michigan will be incredibly tough, however. I think our run will end there if we make it that far.

So I've got us for 6 wins vs your 2, haha. I may be a little homerish but I think you're being too conservative. Ironically, 4 actually seems pretty likely to be the number imo. Would be smack dab in the middle of our projections. We'll see!

well, 4-2 so far assuming Creighton holds on. To get any more will be tough.

Strong win for Creighton. Would be outstanding for the Big East to see the Blue Jays top Gonzaga.

4-4 with 2 teams in the Sweet 16 is decent for a down year. Hoping one of the 2 pulls off the upset so the conference is over .500 for the tourney

4-4 would be strong all things considered.

The key question at this points (assuming Nova or CU don't make a run) is ... next season for the Big East.

Yeah I'm surprised I haven't heard more about teams being connected to transfers thus far. Really looking to see us get some shooters and another big

Credit to Baylor for that defensive intensity. I think Nova had 6 turnovers in 7 possessions or something and Jay had already used 2/3 of his Time Outs.

yeah and the problem for Jay they were live ball turnovers until that last one. He was dying to get to the media timeout.
