Sweet. Shot 39% from three last year and played three years at Ole Miss. His stats slipped a decent amount sophomore to Junior year, but he also played less minutes as a Junior. His three point percentage went up significantly though. Hopefully he can be better than Nicholson.

Another Twitter page says he has 2 years left to play. That would be great if true.

The 20-21 season isn’t supposed to count against anyone eligibility from what I understand, so yes, he’d have 2 years left to play.

We need an another athletic post guy who can operate facing the basket.

Yes, he was committed to MTSU when Davis was hired at Ole Miss.

True, but it shows he’s at least someone you can’t completely ignore more than 3 ft from the basket like jemison, or 10-15 ft like lovan. He’s someone the defense probably has to account for outside the arc at least.

Seems to have a body type and position similar Nicholson, hopefully he can be a better version of him.. we still need shooting, ball handling depth, and a decent back up big

Nice pickup! Should be a better version of Nicholson at the 4 spot. He should be able to give us 12-15 points per game.

Are we allowed 16 scholarship players for the upcoming season? 13 regular, plus 3 returning SRs not counting? Or would all seniors have been allowed to return?

I'm not trying to give an guff...I just don't think he's a good 3 point shooter...which is fine.
We need more than just long range shooters, its just that people are going to focus on 3 point percentage (b/c we were SOO bad at it this year)

that having been said, he made a huge jump in percentage last year (although his total attempts dipped a bit from the previous year).
25% freshman, 24% sophomore, 39% junior...

I agree with you. A good three point shooter is taking more than 55 shots over 3 seasons. Every single player in the top 50 3 pt fg% on ncaa.com attempted 89+ 3’s last year. Only 3 of those attempted less than 100.

He was a 2-year starter for an SEC team. It seems he wanted/tried to expand his game. Perhaps Kermit was resistant to his doing more things. He has some size and strength to play inside and is good enough to step out a bit. We do need shooters, but we need solid all-around players, too. In terms of his 3pt shooting, I would say it hard to imagine him not being an improvement over what we had his past season.
